I sorely disappointed with his hitting. I was hoping for at least .250 with double digit Hr's and he's been pretty bland. He has all the tools but he's just not using them. Can coaching help? I don't know, is he even coachable? Did he hit like this in the minors? None of the Cards outfielders are doing the job. Noot, Scott and Walker are very poor this year. Scott should be hitting down on the ball and using his speed. Noot has shown flashes of promise but at this point he's more of a 4th outfielder I think. And Walker, well, he needs to go back down and prove himself. Can Whetherholt play outfield?

Had a good season at AA in 22, followed it up with an even better Fall League that year, and after the fan discontent at Mo's offseason thrift isle shopping, he was rushed to MLB after a decent 3 weeks of Spring Training in 23 to distract the fans with a shiny new toy. Started off great, finished the season strong, and it's all been downhill from there. Whatever THIS org is teaching him, it's either not sticking or not working.

He can't go down again this year without being DFA'd--so I've been told. Hopefully they start him at AAA next year with a new personal hitting coach or something and he stays there until he dominates and figures out how to recognize a pitch and for the love of God, move at least 6 inches closer to the plate.

Thats incorrect. He has an option year left. But he has only 1 option year remaining and has stayed in majors this far into the year that they are better off waiting and optioning him next year instead of burning his option year now. Cuz if they burn his option year now he wont be able to be optioned next year if he doesnt figure it out in offseason.

Pitching isn't the only issue but it is the biggest issue and they have to prioritize with the new fiscal reality they are in. Can't fix everything.

Yeah, there's plenty of blame to go around. Nobody is playing exceptional. The entire outfield is playing below acceptable levels. The infield was passable if not spectacular until Arenado and Donny went on the DL. The pitching has stunk all year, both starters and relievers. It's going to take some wheeling and dealing to straighten out this bunch. If ownership steps up maybe they can clean it up some. Otherwise we'll be stuck watching AAA players while other teams go out and get the talent.

Man...so much frustrating [shirt] about being a cards fan last several years and it's just getting worse and worse. Our next big prospect is a (censored) bust, and they are tanking now while the freaking hated Brewers are cruising to a division title.

Someone needs to get these bad players and Oli and his staff outta here and get this franchise back on track. Sucks when I see other teams fans get mad about a loss to the cardinals and they say things "how could we lose to the freaking Cardinals man"

But hey that's what we have become I guess. Hope this gets turned around within the next few years man. Crazy as the 11 team went on that crazy run (with Atl historic collapse) and got to a ring. Still the most amazing world series (game 6 anyway) and amazing final month of any sport ever imo.

This team does not have the heart or makings of a team that is capable of that 11 run. Can't even beat teams like the A's and Rockies or rattle off 8 or 9 wins. Smh
