Had hoped Flaherty and Hicks would show continued improvement. Yeah no.
Shocked at how bad Helsley has been, i knew he wasn't great this year but the total collapse is crazy.
Everyone else is about exactly what I expected. Hopefully Goldy retires after this year. O'Neill seems like a nice enough guy so I'm glad he got paid, and *really* glad it wasn't by the Cards.
Helsley was a bit of a primadonna coddled by cardinals.
There were stories to media he made himself unavailable certain days. That he didnt like putching more than 1 inning. That he didnt like pitching 2 days in a row too often and refused to do 3 days. Those things qouldnt go over well with yankees media. Hes probably being forced out of his comfort zone on these issues and its also affecting him mentally besides physically

-Aroz is having another great and 3rd All-Star season.
-Gallen had a rough first half but he's got his ERA down in the 4s.
-Alcantra is coming off TJ but he's been great of late, as we saw against the Cards.
These are the 3 that matter, as they're the ones that broke Mo. lol

Well, if New York is the problem then that probably means both teams. I’m a fellow Oklahoma boy and wouldn’t like living in NYC eitherCardinals4Life wrote: ↑02 Sep 2025 11:43 amWell, Helsley was traded to the Mets.Wattage wrote: ↑02 Sep 2025 11:15 amHelsley has fallen iff badly but i akso wonder if yankees also were just bad fit for him.3dender wrote: ↑02 Sep 2025 10:00 am Love seeing Bader's career year.
