Re: Celebrate St. Louis
Let’s ask ourselves what happened to St. Louis? A once proud city of 750,000 is now down to about 250,000. Anyone have any thoughts on what caused that?

Re: Celebrate St. Louis
An interesting question, worthy of study. In my opinion, the number 1 issue is crime resulting in families fleeing to St. Louis County. Of course St. Louis is the home of "red lining", the practice of real estate agencies steering prospective buyers to particular neighborhoods based on their race. A black family would never be shown a home in St. Louis Hills or on The Hill. They'd be shown something on the north side. When people leave, business and jobs leave, tax revenue drops, schools and infrastructure decline. The most logical fix would be a merger with the County, but I'm afraid the reaction in the county would be the same as asking, "Would you like to adopt this large, hairy tumor?"Blueanchor wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 20:45 pm Let’s ask ourselves what happened to St. Louis?
