and needs to come out of the game or be skipped in the rotation.

Pallante in August 6 starts. 5 of 6 starts he threw 90 pitches. ERA of 9,82 for the month. In today's game score tired and Pallante was clearly losing it but left in the game to give up the 2 run home run. Marmol seems locked into what he's going to do and what's unfolding in front of his eyes are of no consequence. Couldn't pull him at 85 pitches. He had to throw the predetermined 95.

I'd like to know who you have to pitch the other half of the game? And the next 3 days...ScotchMIrish wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 13:03 pm and needs to come out of the game or be skipped in the rotation.

It's probably since there's a DH so he can't judge when to pull the pitcher. It's the DH.

When the pitcher tells him he's tired. Oli doesn't figure things out on his own.

The DH is a factor because the manager doesn't pull the pitcher for a pinch hitter when behind which allows a manager to stick to the script.imadangman wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 13:08 pm It's probably since there's a DH so he can't judge when to pull the pitcher. It's the DH.

So may all-knowing and all-seeing baseball geniuses on this site. It is amazing that other organizations don't immediately hire them to manage their teams.

Is every arm in the minor leagues gone? Is every pitcher in the bullpen out of options? Pallante has an ERA for the month of 9.82. It's common to bring up a pitcher for a brief period of time and send someone down,scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 13:04 pmI'd like to know who you have to pitch the other half of the game? If Bloom is in charge now I'm not impressed. This is terrible roster management.

Yep. And not even close.
Dude has no feel for in game decisions. Clueless.

Oli knows when fatigue is setting in when in between innings , the starting pitcher asks the trainer for a pillow while our offense is taking their at bats.
That's a dead giveaway for Oli .

Where did you get the idea that Bloom might be in charge now ? Mo's contract as POBO goes thru end of October. Been no indication yet as to if he would step down early.ScotchMIrish wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 16:11 pmIs every arm in the minor leagues gone? Is every pitcher in the bullpen out of options? It would make sense for at least Bloom to have some input since he is getting a paycheck from the Cardinals and will soon be running the show.ramfandan wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 17:27 pmWhere did you get the idea that Bloom might be in charge now ? Maybe this is being done so whatever happens next season will look better.

In this case it would be before Pallante throws a pitchScotchMIrish wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 13:03 pm and needs to come out of the game or be skipped in the rotation.

Game was tied today. Pallante was clearly tired but he hadn't reached the 95 pitch limit so Marmol leaves him in and the game is lost.Bad14 wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 20:30 pmIn this case it would be before Pallante throws a pitchScotchMIrish wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 13:03 pm and needs to come out of the game or be skipped in the rotation.

We need the best pitching staff in baseball or a new manager. Easier to get a new manager.
