Walker...A ball, maybe AA, he's a complete joke. Set him down for the remainder and start him in the minors in the spring. Personally I don't believe he'll ever figure it out.

I heard on Reds feed that Cardinals were signaling to Marte to retrieve the Crooks HR ball from fan.
Anyone know if they got Crooks 1st MLB hit back ?

He has some extremely big holes in his swing - will be tough to correct all his flaws.

Cards have lost 6 Pallante starts in a row and 11 of his last 12 starts.

He seems to be our most consistent pitcher.

When asked about his performance, he said, "There is no defense."

Oll likes to put out a crazy lineup for the final game of the series, especially after winning the first two.

16 2/3 IP coming into today

17 KO's
4.86 ERA

He does however posses strikeout stuff leading to a solid 2.94 FiP during that time frame.
Is FiP basically expected ERA?
No

I'm letting AI give you the definition:

FiP measures a pitcher's effectiveness by only considering events they have the most control over: strikeouts (K), walks (BB), hit-by-pitches (HBP), and home runs (HR). By excluding the outcomes of balls put into play—which are heavily influenced by defense and luck—FIP aims to provide a clearer picture of a pitcher's true ability and predict future performance more accurately than traditional metrics like Earned Run Average (ERA).

How does a pitcher have most control over a home run? The first three I get but throwing in home runs seems strange

Yeah I read that from the Google AI reply and I'm still not sure I fully grasp what the actual number represents. lol. I probably just don't care enough to expend any mental energy on it. :D

At it's core it takes out balls in play, the more strikeouts and fewer walks, HBP and HR's allowed the lower the FiP.
