This thread has zero to do with Army, it is dealing with the fact that players not picked in the TOP5 are in the HOF. Maybe if you pulled your head out of your (donkey) your "hearing" would improve.

Since he brought it up, Army was GM in Dallas in 2007 when they drafted Jamie Benn at 129. Doug Gilmour was a Blues steal in 1982 at 134. Too bad the whole babysitter situation happened.

Ah yes. He selected Benn several months before he was dismissed in Dallas.

There is no question that good players can be found outside the TOP5. The question is if your GM and scouts are good enough to find them. The results speak for themselves.

Conclusion: There is no evidence that Armstrong finds better talent than other GMs lower in the draft. The evidence points to the reverse.

Army needs to draft earlier in the draft, not later.

considering that 2nd round has some all time greats, Federov, Kucherov, Chara, Lindstrom, Patrick Roy. Jersey Sales were thru the roof for that 2nd round.

You hit the nail on the head, Parayko is the better quality player. Klima was a consistent goal scorer but not much else.

Lehtinen was a good player but Binnington will be the best 88 when it's done. Parayko easily at 86 when it's done. Perron is close to Lemieux at 26

You keep saying this and yet you’ve never ever ever provided any proof that this is even remotely true. If fact, I and many others have provided the opposite - league-wide draft results over the course of Army’s tenure that continually show the Blues as one of the best drafting teams in the league.

You are right in that the results speak for themselves…but you’re 100% wrong in your interpretation of them. You somehow see failure while the reality is that the Blues have some of the best draft success stories in the league since Army has been GM. Your entire premise and foundation for your arguments against Army are based on a reality that only exists in your head.
