Re: Who do we want back for next year?
All these projected rosters make me realize their over under will again be set at like 75.5 wins again
Winn, Gorman, Herrera and some of the younger relievers are the only players I’m excited about.
Scott has a 77 OPS+, you can’t have 1979 Ozzie in CF when you don’t have Albert/Rolen/Edmonds/Walker
It’s just a dull boring team going forward.

This team has more stiffs than the city morgue. If we don’t want ‘em, who would?

Re: Who do we want back for next year?
Not Walker - disinteresting bat and cannot field; good arm though
Not Gorman - interesting bat but cannot field
Not Fermin - interesting miLB bat but cannot field and hasn't hit in MLB
I'm just about done with Saggese; I was not expecting his defense to be so poor.
I'm open to trading Burleson since his defense is lacking but we need his bat so the return must be worthwhile.
Better defense will make the starting pitching look better.
Speed/arms in the OF will cut down on doubles/triples Nootbar/Scott/Church would do that but Church would need to hit and I doubt it.
I'd say Church would save 25+ runs per year over Walker/Burleson in RF. Now consider that our RF have 55 runs scored and 69 RBI and .246 .307 .386 .693. The bar for Church's offense would be pretty low to be at least as good as the current situation. This RF debacle cannot continue after 3 consecutive seasons of dismal performance.

I agree. Hopefully, Bloom is willing to listen to offers on anybody. Nobody is untradeable on this roster. Being willing to have an active winter would be a refreshing change to Mozeliak's minimal effort. Maybe Bloom actually leaves the hotel suite during the MLB Winter Meetings!scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑29 Aug 2025 16:28 pm None on the current roster. All should be available

Step 1: Have a difficult talk with Arenado telling him his pt will be limited and he may want to consider a trade.
Step 2: Let the league know you are open to make trades and will field calls on anyone. Attempt to fill needs (pitching and a solid bat).
Step 3: Convince BDW to spend on one starting pitcher. Two need added. One can be from trade, the other by FA.
