I wonder how many inactive pitchers ARCY will have on his active roster by season’s end.

The count is currently 5. Six, if you count the mysterious presence of Andre Pallante.

And Springer… a top 20 player overall hitting .391 with 6 HR since coming off the IL… still sitting in the IL spot with Carlos Narvaez playing in a UTIL spot.

Bugs me when people just bail like this. Lazy.

Looks like it might not matter too much down the stretch.

Of the contending teams (Jeffy, Richie, Quincy, gg, and myself), Quincy (207) might benefit by moving up one on Alex (218) in HRs, Jeffy (757) might benefit by moving up one on Alex (764) in RBI, and Jeffy (77) might benefit by moving up one on Alex (78) in QS.

I'm right here too. I may not win 1st but I'll move up every spot I can. Coming into yesterday I was within a point or so of 5th. Was 4th briefly.

Understood. When I said "contending", I was specifically thinking of winning the league. Passing 5 teams with a month to go would be a feat, I think.

Although I'm sure I will jinx myself by saying it, with my innings remaining advantage, I'm penciling in moving up at least 1.5 in wins, 1-2 in K, and 2-3 in QS. So I think I'm going to pick up 5-6 pitching pts. just because I have innings on Trader, Jeffy, and a little on gg, Richie, and FutureGM.

In fairness, I could lose 1-2 pts. in HRs and 0.5 pts. in SBs for having used up more GP, but in the net I think I'm pushing 130, depending on what happens in the rate categories (AVG, OPS, WHIP, ERA).

There you go. I don't expect to win but I have moved up from the ~90 point range a few weeks ago. I've had my fair share of missed lineup calls too. Home runs on the bench etc. Oh well, too bad I wasn't perfect with keeping up with my lineup every day.

I think I accomplished this “feat” in the last month. I don’t specifically recall where I bottomed out, but it was in the 83-87 point range and I think I’m up 16 points in the last 4 weeks.

Too bad I keep losing guys to injury. Snakebit season.

I miss the Goodman / Julio comparisons! I think Julio is 55th and Goodman 120th over last 30 days. Julio top 50 overall, Goodman top 100.

So Goodman finishing higher than most would’ve projected, but you still stole Julio just like a number of us said at the time.

No surprise that Dirty Paws is in last.

This season has sucked for me.

So at the end of the season, whatever free-agent budget we have left over, Quincy will you be sending that in a check or do you want to Venmo me that amount of money or what should we do?

Since May 3:

Rodriguez - .276 BA, .789 OPS, 64 R, 58 RBI, 20 HR, 19 SB
Goodman - .277 BA, .855 OPS, 47 R, 60 RBI, 21 HR, 1 SB

So, Rodriguez's big advantage is in SB.

But Goodman qualifying at catcher is a pretty big deal as well. For the season, Goodman 2nd among catchers, Rodriguez 13th among OFs.

Given all factors, I don't think that is remarkably unequal. I don't think it netted me more than 1-2 fantasy pts. overall.

Just from a baseball fan perspective I'm glad to see Julio having a good 2nd half. Hopefully soon he has that breakout 40-50 HR season.

Remaining surplus budget will be invested in 30-year bonds.

Think I dipped into the low-90s sometime in mid-July. So I’ve picked up 20-25 points since then.

I think Matt’s probably right in thinking the final top-5 is likely to be the same teams they are currently. But it’s tricky to project the pitching standings with so many way ahead of the IP pace. Just in Ks, I could pick up another 5+ points as their innings dry up. Matt’s definitely picking up some points in the counting stats also, and I’m not sure he’ll even need more points in SV or SB to win the league.

I definitely don't see getting any more points in saves. I just want to hold on to the 4 pts. there with Santana and Topa picking up 6-10 more saves in Sept.

I doubt I pick up more than 0.5 pt. by breaking the current tie with Trader in SBs. But he could also play enough more games in Sept. to likely make it be me losing 0.5 pt. in SBs instead.

I could go on a run up AVG from currently 11th (.252) to maybe 7th (.255).

Additional context on the Sept. 1 standings regarding the top 6 teams:

I can use up to 264 more GP, and have 229 IP yet to use
Jeffy can use up to 292 more GP, and has 103 IP yet to use
Quincy can use up to 271 more GP, and has 219 IP yet to use
ggnoobs can use up to 302 more GP, and has 176 IP yet to use
Richie can use up to 271 more GP, and has 207 IP yet to use
ima can use up to 299 more GP, and has 217 IP yet to use

It seems like it is mostly a race between Jeffy having 28 more GP to use (about 2.5 days worth of lineups, which would net him ~12 runs, ~11 RBI, ~4 HR, and ~2 SB over me) vs. me having 126 more IP (which would net me ~8 wins, ~3 saves, ~133 strikeouts, and ~9 QS over him).
