vs RHP, start Crooks
Pages can be DFA'd, Pozo's a better hitter.
And all this c r a p about how well Pages handles the pitching staff is a load of it.

I would actually give Pallante another year, but shut him down this year. His arm is just shot this year, but he is still only 26/27 and has far more ability that Mikolas.
Can't go there w/you jobu, Pallante needs to either go back to the pen' or just DFA'd.
And he's been horrible way before his arm "was shot", w/a fresh arm from May 1st - June 30th: 4.61 ERA.
The league figured him out, time to move on and give some of the young starters in AA/AAA their shot.
But yes, they could toss Pages into to any offseason deal if any team wants a third string catcher in AAA.

Little league can figure out how to hit meatballs over the middle of the plate. That's been his--and pretty much the entire starting staff's problem since July--that they all forgot how to locate down in the zone. When you have very little hit and miss and pretty much depend on ground balls to find success, leaving junk up and over's a bad recipe.rockondlouie wrote: ↑29 Aug 2025 13:52 pmUghJobu's Rum wrote: ↑29 Aug 2025 13:06 pmYeah, or try to use him as a throw in with a trade of Donovan or Nootbaar in the offseason.rockondlouie wrote: ↑29 Aug 2025 12:45 pm100%82birds wrote: ↑29 Aug 2025 12:41 pmAmen, brother !!!!Whatashame wrote: ↑29 Aug 2025 12:21 pm Good. No clue how to fix it and, clearly, neither do Oli and Blake, since this is the 3rd year in a row the team has followed the exact same trajectory.
1) Slow start
2) extended stretch playing as a top-10 MLB team
3) complete and utter total, monumental, horrific collapse into obscurity
Team's dont luck their way into playing 9 games over .500 over half a season. Well, maybe some luck, but not all luck. Anyway, hopefully the nightmare has only one month left.

Kind of strange. You know, the Burly blow up doll likely needs a break from the pounding it has taken for the past couple of years.

Burly was one of the few position players not to be on the IL! I don't know how these guys get hurt this much!
