Blake Craig injured

Post by icon »

Drinkwitz just confirmed he was injured and that's why he didn't kick later in the game. Man, 2 bad injuries against a cupcake.

He got injured on a kickoff. Sheesh.

Hope it's not bad. But a leg injury for a kicker ain't good.

Hqs there been any further update on Walker's injury status? There was virtually no mention of the occurrence during the telecast.

I just went back and looked at the kickoff return on which he was hurt. The kid tried to make a tackle, whiffed and then fell to the turf holding his knee. I don't think he was hit at all, probably just a turf monster injury where his cleat caught. Too bad. I haven't been able to find any updates, but relying on a freshman kicker in close games may spell trouble. Of course, the Tigers did rely on Craig as a freshman last year, so who knows?

Here's some classic trolling.

When precedent is a positive, then it's "who knows" or "we'll have to wait and see"

BTW, Mevis was 17-20 FG as a freshman with two from 50+.

Rather than just badgering other posters, do you have an update on Craig’s injury.

It’d be a lot cooler if you did.

Good thing we have Robert Meyer who was a 5star kicker out of california. Here is a video of him putting a kickoff through the uprights from 70+ yds away.

Is it true that kickers/punters have a different star rating scale than other players/positions?

I've heard others say that if kickers can get enough private training ($$) They can improve their rating. Like it's kind of a racket.

Sure it's true. It doesn't mean the guy can't kick but it does mean that Chris Sailer is the only one voting.
awarded a five-star rating by Chris Sailer Kicking and was ranked as the No. 13 kicker nationally by the organization

They know specifically what both players’ injuries are and the prognosis. It would be nice if they’d say to the public what the situation is. But ultimately it’s next man up in football. It’s been the reality since the beginning. Hate it for these kids.

I was pointing out to our resident a hole troll he, once again, didn’t contribute anything except to badger you for no reason.

the way the kid did kickoffs after Craig went down one has to question ELis judgement on having him out there at all. it is easy to criticize but why risk a money kicker when your backup booms them as well.

as far as Sam I feel so bad for him as he is a talented guy but just can't ketch a break. Hope he is able to get back into it but by time he does sounds like it will be well into season and Beau will have gig locked down.
