What has been learned in 2025 by this group of players

1. Pitching is horrific.
From the top of the rotation down and including the bullpen.
A lot of work needs to be done.

2. No disciple at the plate
OBP is mediocre and players often take lousy AB's

3. No team speed
We have some that are fast, but overall, this is a slow team.
Milwaukee doubles us in SB's.

4. No power
OPS, HR's all pathetic.
I don't see one guy that is a plus OPS guy going forward.
Going to take a miracle to find that skill set.

5. Lousy defense
They played excellent D for the first half of the year.
Then what happened?
I haven't checked stats, but the D from certain guys is abysmal.

A lot of work to be done.
Pitching is vital and we don't have it.
You don't stand a chance without pitching.
So, that needs to be the number one emphasis this offseason.

Deficient in pretty much every area of the game.
If Marmol isn't canned, then at a minimum Dusty Blake should be gone.

1. TOXIC CULTURE
2. The Marmot and his staff must be fired.
3. Winn, Gorman, Burleson, and McGreevy are the keepers from the young crop.
4. Donovan and Contreras are the only dependable veteran position players.
5. Mootbaar, Herrera, and Pallante are just warm bodies and will never be key pieces.
6. Playing N/A was a disaster.
7. Mikolas would be awful but play because of his contract - as was made clear in spring training.
8. Scott and Walker are still question marks.
9. The team is short one RH hitting corner middle order outfield bat and 2 starting pitchers.
Of course, none of that was truly "learned" over the past 130 games.
It was simply revealed.
I said every bit of it repeatedly and it all proved to be correct.

I'm not as high on Libbey and McGreevy.
They aren't that great and Pallante was actually better than them a year or two ago.
Gorman, Herrera, Burleson and Contreras are really all DH's.
None are any good on the field.
We have a couple of guys with speed, but they can't get on base.

I'm not as high on Libbey and McGreevy.
They aren't that great and Pallante was actually better than them a year or two ago.

Cardinals are 10-3 in MCG's starts and Libby given an offseason to train as a starter can be a solid mid rotation starter.
