icon wrote: 26 Aug 2025 14:57 pm I hate interleague play. Opening the season this year with the listless Twins and Angels at home was a real buzz kill.

Even up the teams in each league and get rid of interleague play. Like that's going to happen.
you prolly hate the DH - ghost runner - pitch clock as well amirite ?
Inner League nostalgia wore off on me a few years ago....I could live without it if they took it away. I think most fans who attend games would love to see rivals visit the stadium vs. the likes of the Rays, Angels, Twins.

I like the Pitch Clock....I'm indifferent to the DH and Ghost Runner. If they brought back Pitchers in the lineup, I wouldn't be upset. Not sure why I had to preface this...but there it is anyways

Why do we always get a home Cubs series in the middle of the (bleep) week? And in Chicago two years in a row on July 4th. And most of September is games outside the division. Manfred is a [fork]ing dumb[ash]. Single-handedly trying to kill the sport.

It does look pretty stupid. Well, the visit to Houston in April is a real throwback. That's one positive.

Sounds like this whole thing is going to be very different in a few years. Scheduling, divisions, playoff setup, expansion.... hope they get it right. There's an opportunity to better the product, but also a lot of variables that can go right or wrong.

......Things will be kicking in KC June 20th next year, a competition that will make the World Series look like a spring training game... According to CoPilot (Microsoft's AI software):
"Kansas City is set to host six FIFA World Cup matches in 2026 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, rebranded as Kansas City Stadium for the tournament. Here's the full match schedule:
🗓️ Match Dates in Kansas City
Match Type Date
Group Stage Tuesday, June 16, 2026
Group Stage Saturday, June 20, 2026
Group Stage Thursday, June 25, 2026
Group Stage Saturday, June 27, 2026
Round of 32 Friday, July 3, 2026
Quarterfinal Saturday, July 11, 2026

These games are part of the expanded 48-team, 104-match format—the largest World Cup ever."

...Bulldog, Summer Solstice is the next day after the soccer game, June 21st. That is one of FIVE (un)official Weather man Holy Days...the others being the Winter solstice, the two equinoxes, and Ground Hog Day... :D

A HoHum schedule for a HoHum team. That’s who we are now. No longer the proud franchise of champions. We are just another small market team ongoing like Cincy , Pittsburgh and KC. Get with the new program or get moving on.

Universal schedule. We don't need no rivals. The fact that baseball has survived the incompetent people who run the game is a testament to those who invented it.

Another open date Saturday night, in June
Out of town on all holidays
No Central Division home games in September
15 road games in September, only 9 home games

Manfred must hate us
LOL, it all a part of a grand plan by ownership to run this franchise into the ground. Empty stadiums lead to a sale at some point, new ownership gets fans to pay for PSL's as a part of a PROMISE to do something. Sound familiar? It's AB2 to AB3 and BWD2 to BWD3 all over again.
