The guy is completely different at home vs road. 3.70 ERA at Busch, 6.79 on the road.
We start 2026 with 6 home games. assuming no one gives him a contract, What if Bloom gave him a 1 week contract to start once or twice during that home series and try to steal a couple wins for cheap then released him before he wears down?
Might give us time to delay adding a rookie to the roster until after the 10% of the season mark and avoid super 2 status.
Sign Miles M to a 1 week contract, home starts only?

There's zero chance he will ever wear a Cards uniform after 2025.

This is a very strange idea, even for Cards Talk.
One week contracts do not exist.

Matt Adams did one. Bill Veech would surely go for itQuincy Varnish wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 13:36 pm This is a very strange idea, even for Cards Talk.

But maybe a minor league contract where he's only paid while he's on the MLB roster.

Adams signed a one DAY contract, so he could retire a Cardinal… that is not uncommon for retiring veterans, and it’s not to play.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 13:46 pmMatt Adams did one. He’ll find a deal someplace.
