His legacy was riding the coattails of Luhnow's system, TLR & Duncan's mastery, and an unreal core assembled by Jocketty.

Once those folks left, the jackass was exposed as a fraud.
Remind me. Who did Luhnow draft?

My gosh, that is 15 years ago. Cranny will like that comment since he lives in the past.
Also, it has been said that Tony pressured him into making those moves. Possibly not his idea.

Thank you. Can’t believe how many around here think it has just been a couple of years.

And the crowds are non existent...won't see fans returning unless Bloom can fix this [fustercluck] quickly.
Was there last night, may have been the smallest crowd of the year.

True. But we can still shoot for 3 out of 4.

Just like most of his extensions and free agent signings his legacy will be one year too long. He should have left at the end of last year. This “runway “ year has been a war zone runway, full of bomb craters and cracks not allowing players to take off.
IMO this year has added a couple of years to the rebuild. If they had moved on from Mo and made some moves and been honest with the fans they would have more likely drawn more fans this year.

I fully agree. Honesty and a clear & sensible plan would've helped. But that outfit prefers to deal in ambiguity and double-talk. Jackass Johnny isn't capable of formulating a plan.

How will the MOzo legacy be defined?
If you plotted a bell curve from success to disaster, I'd say Mozeliak's reign looks a lot like Hitler's.

JJ? A bit extreme and sophomoric.

But also accurate. The arrogant putz drove this franchise off a cliff.

Bill DeWitt Jr.'s LACKEY!

Being a firm believer in the Harry S Truman mantra....The Buck Stops Here!....I can't help but think that MO's hands were tied by BDJr who is a businessman that runs the Cards like a business. Maybe MO is inept as they come, but if the man holding the purse strings tells you to be successful with one hand tied behind your back...then maybe history will show that MO worked wonders while working for a penny-pinching micro manager.

Now myself, if I was put under pressure to succeed without the money to fund the resources I felt I needed to compete against those who were spending the money....I would not be silent and I would of been fired for opening my mouth. Look no further than Mike Shildt who's problem was more than likely BDJr. rather than MO....same could be said for Pujols possibly.

Anyways, if MO is so completely inept than we have BDJr. to thank for not letting him go much, much sooner. Who knows, might just be the Peter Principle wherein someone not too baseball smart...BDJr., needed someone he felt was even dumber to run the show and provide him with a fall guy.
