Poll: 5% Better
I'm curious. How many think that the Blues will be 5% better this year--per Armstrong's comments?
I just don't see it happening.

Re: Poll: 5% Better
Of course they will. It gives you an excuse to pad your numbers and push your trolling agenda. And for the record, they will be 10% or greater better.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 18:06 pmPeople expressing no opinion will be recorded as a NO vote.Aesa wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 17:53 pmGet your cataracs removed and new glasses then you might be able to see more clearly.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 17:47 pm I'm curious. Re: Poll: 5% Better
5% better was mentioned by Armstrong in context of each player and member of the org but also in terms of points. They had 96 last year. 105% of that number rounds up to 101pts. It also means winning a playoff round. So can they reach 101 pts and win a playoff round? They are good enough to do that but will they? Looking forward to finding out!

Another thread that's not saying anything. Leaving lots of room for OP to move the goalposts. They finish with 101 points? OP will say they meant playoffs. They win 4 playoff games (a boost that works out to significantly more than 5% improvement!), they will change it to something else.
Until OP lays down the exact criteria that will be used to make the determination, no one should vote.
But I finally got them to do this when they promised to leave if we had success in the playoffs. I asked what would be considered success. They landed on one playoff win. If the Blues won one game, they would go away forever. They won 3 times that. OP is still here. No integrity.

Re: Poll: 5% Better
Yes, I think they’ll be 5% better. Sounds like a reasonable goal to me. Of course, what 5% means is subjective and the OP will very obviously declare it’s something more that whatever they end up doing. I mean, the Stanley Cup Champ Panthers finished with 98 pts to the Blues’ 96. Would that be 5% better? Probably not according to the OP.

Re: Poll: 5% Better
How do you expect me to explain what 5% better means? I have no idea what Army means by it. I can only guess like the rest of the universe.sdaltons wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 19:25 pm Another thread that's not saying anything. Leaving lots of room for OP to move the goalposts. This reply will be recorded as a vote indicating that Army's 2025/26 mission statement is unclear.
Re: Poll: 5% Better
I see two issues with your post. First, you dropped the question out of the blue (pun?) on a random mid-summer day, nothing really going on to spur further assessment of the team that hasn't been hashed out ad nauseum. Second, you just can't hold back on the negativity. You probably should have just dropped the question and posted your opinion later but you triggered the "Here we go again" reaction.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 17:47 pm I'm curious. I just don't see it happening.
As things stand now I'm waiting for camp to start before making any predictions. Want to see who comes in healthy (Holloway), how the team comes together.

I'll record this reply as a LAME Yes vote. We all know that Dawg Dad in going to vote YES, but he is going to float his opinion on a sea of caveats and excuses.DawgDad wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 20:08 pmI see two issues with your post. I'm good with holding this up as what 5% better means. Well done, SB.seattleblue wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 19:22 pm 5% better was mentioned by Armstrong in context of each player and member of the org but also in terms of points. No prediction, SB?
