Ha Ha! That is probably the only reason Farrell would take another job. I wouldn't mind John, always thought he did a good job anywhere he worked.

I’ve always said a homeless drunk could do a better job.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑24 Aug 2025 20:37 pmAnything that veers away from Johnny jackass's ideas would be improvement. Its time for StL to conduct itself like a competent organization.

Yes, stretching it a bit. But the drop off in results and attendance signal problems. Problems fueled by ownership and the front office. Attitude towards fans, poor roster construction, being behind in trends, etc.45s wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 06:00 am“Competent organization “?JuanAgosto wrote: ↑24 Aug 2025 20:37 pmAnything that veers away from Johnny jackass's ideas would be improvement. Re: John Farrell for next manager?
I don't know anything about John Farrell but I would point out HOF manager Joe Torre was a broadcaster for the Angels for 5 years after he was fired by Atlanta.
Re: John Farrell for next manager?
For me, most importantly he has zero ties to this failed system.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑23 Aug 2025 18:19 pm He shares a Red Sox pedegree with Bloom, though not sure if they overlapped at all.
He has won in the playoffs (WS) and he's also been thru successfull worst to first turnarounds
at 63, he's nowhere near too old, and his experience makes his age preferable to anyone under 40.
He's available.
And most importantly, he pitched and coached college ball at my alma mater.

Walt Weiss - Braves
Don Mattingly - Blue Jays
Sandy Alomar Jr - Cleveland
Rickie Weeks - Brewers
Pitching Coach
Prior - Dodgers
Chris Hook - Brewers
Kyle Snyder - Rays
Remote possibility of hiring any of the above. BUT decent baseline to start the process.

My biggest concern would be no change.
I also liked the Varitek suggestion. Some of these boys could
use some increased focus, IMO.
