Could Wetherholt be a MOTO hitter?

Post by Shady »

Similar type hitter and power to Burleson maybe. (20 to 25 HRs, lots of doubles and RBI production). Some combo of Wetherholt, Burleson, Contreras or Herrera 3 through 5 in the middle of the batting order, maybe.

You don’t want 2-3 guys that can knock in 120 RBI. That’s what they need, plus a lead off batter who can actually get on base. A few pitchers who can throw strikes would also help. None of those guys are true middle of order bats for a good team.

Not many 120 RBI guys around these days. 85 to 90 seems very good, in this era. Burleson will, likely, get in that range with Wetherholt hitting somewhere just ahead of him in the lineup.

Cute. Stick your neck out, for a change, and tell us if you feel Burleson is capable of getting at least 85 RBIs with Wetherholt hitting 1 or two and Burly 3 or 4 in the lineup.

No, he won't. You'll have to get a different inflatable.

No, he is a six hjole hitter, but could do better if he learned to walk more. He is not in the same league as Wetherholt, who is amazing. Can run, can play defense, can hit lefties and righties. Burly is a nice man, but a plodding plow horse of a player, a base clogger who has peaked already. That is why he is a prime trade candidate. Wetherholt will be a fine two or three hitter and might be rookie of the year next year.

Thanks for a civil response. But, I firmly disagree that Burleson has peaked. I guess we'll see.

For a top 10 pick, I’d hope we get something a hell of a lot better than Alec Burleson.

But you know this and are just trolling, or maybe you really are a [fork]ing idiot.
