Gray is not that.

Who knows ? And teams certainly can ‘t name names as that is a violation of league rules to discuss players under contract to another team .

what?? we have McGreevey!! I read right here that if he had started the season on the big team roster he would have saved them!82birds wrote: ↑24 Aug 2025 12:53 pmthen we'd still need a #1TraveledLessRoad wrote: ↑24 Aug 2025 12:17 pm I'd like to see him trade from our glut of outfielders. Re: Your anticipated biggest trade by Bloom this winter?
I wouldn't be in a rush on a top level Pitcher yet. That's another year away. Lotta work to be done on this lineup first. Nootbar and Gorman are quickly becoming Carlson/Bader. I have seen enough of these two. They need to go. Pages, Pozo, goodbye. Hamson should never have been here. Walker is on thin ice. Victor has so much talent he needs to be given time. I would get rid of Burleson. He has value that could be part of a deal for a real OF'er.
Nootbar / Gorman --- Gone.
Pages / Pozo .. get what ya can.
Burly - Value is there. Use it.
The outfield still needs 1 or 2 consistent big producing bats. And play good defense. With 1 that leaves Walker on the spot next year. He either takes the spot or send him out. Then add the second. Victor / Church / ???. Not JJ. He is my 2nd baseman. Donnie goes back to being supersub playing 6 days a week.

"Chaim-am-trying-to-fix-the roster-imbalance" Bloom will trade either Herrera or Walker, and will trade 2 from the group of Mootbaar, Donovan, Burleson, and Scott.
He will also make a trade from the organization's catching depth.
Carve it in stone.
It is more certain that your next heartbeat.
There are also a few minor league pieces I expect him to move on from.

Re: Your anticipated biggest trade by Bloom this winter?
Anyone expecting Bloom to wheel and deal this team into a playoff contender ala Whitey circa 1980, is going to be very disappointed. I do expect the roster to look very different next year. However, it’s going to be more of a rebalancing, with young talent being brought in rather than established stars. Anyone looking for a TOR pitcher, it’s not happening. Look for them to move on from some guys. They probably will move some players who might be helpful in 2026 to open up spots for 27/28. This rebuild/retool/reset isn’t going to happen over night. One last thing to point out: even if they can move on from Gray, Contreras and Arenado, it’s not going to bring much salary relief as any deal will require eating money. Will Bloom be able to convince that money is an investment in the rebuild/reset/retool?Melville wrote: ↑24 Aug 2025 14:51 pm "Chaim-am-trying-to-fix-the roster-imbalance" Bloom will trade either Herrera or Walker, and will trade 2 from the group of Mootbaar, Donovan, Burleson, and Scott.

I’m not sure priority is return but glut removal. We have same issue for infield. You would like a decent return but cleaning house has value.TraveledLessRoad wrote: ↑24 Aug 2025 12:31 pm You're probably right. But, I bet Nootbar and Crooks + could net a decent SP return.

Transitioning from Mo to Bloom is a great trade. I know some on here doubting Bloom. But a dead possum would be an upgrade to that jackass.
Replacing marmol with a good manager would be an addition. Somebody with an idea and leadership ability.
Player wise, listen to offers on any player. This team needs an overhaul.

Re: Your anticipated biggest trade by Bloom this winter?
Bloom is pretty smart and he's already done 2 smart things that weren't being done. #1 He hired other smart people. #2 He hired from outside the organization. But, the expectations for Bloom are probably too high. If you think he is going to increase spending- he isn't. If you think he won't make trade mistakes as he tries to sort out the roster- he will. And, if you think you won't get frustrated by a slow, thoughtful approach to making decisions- good luck to you. Things will be better, but let's have reasonable expectations.
