I think moving a current MLBer (or 2) plus a prospect or 2 (perhaps a C) for an MLB ready pitcher.

Many think a pitcher would be high on Bloom’s shopping list.

I'd like to see him trade from our glut of outfielders. Noot, Burly, Walker, Scott, Hererra, etc. Tie a high-end prospect or two (catcher) to one of them and try and get a legit number 2 starting pitcher.

I'm not sure I'm ready to call Herrera an OFer just yet. and Scott has absolutely 0 value, and I'm not sure Noot gets ya anything special back

You're probably right. But, I bet Nootbar and Crooks + could net a decent SP return.

If Nootsbar can get hot the last 5 weeks of season, he might have more value in a trade.
That's a big "IF".

Good chance Nootbaar is traded. Depending upon offers Donovan may also be moved. I believe that the belief is that it will be 2028 before this team competes with a lock out in 2027 likely to have a big impact. Anyone not seen as part of the new era at that time could be moved.

I would guess once Mo officially steps down Bloom will give some insight into his plans .
He has had a year to learn our current minor league talent pool.

then we'd still need a #1
Gray is not that.

You may be correct, but this is not a team that should scoff at adding a #2.
