Cardinals hitting coach.
Thanks. I don't keep close watch these days.

I tend to think hitting coaches are over rated. If a team doesn't hit well, it's mostly the players. Otherwise hitting coaches would be making some serious jack.

So either way probably makes little difference.

If oli goes (big question mark), then his replacement better be someone experienced who has the answer to that and many other moves.

Is it me or has there been an increase this year, especially the last month or so, of multiple Cards players just watching a fastball down the middle for strike 3? Contreras, Walker, and Nootbaar have been frequent offenders.

Not blaming Brant Brown for that necessarily, but it seems like a notable aberration from previous years.

Not just you 3d

This team takes way too many meatballs right down the middle of the plate.

When some guy is throwing 97 MPH heaters and spinning the slower pitches every-which-way, it's easy to be fooled.

What players have made a significant improvement in hitting over last year? How many and who?

It is mind boggling to watch though.
It's a league wide deal though.
Their SO are not the issue. 7th or 8th fewest in MLB.
SLG and team speed are, and 2-3 SP's

Yeah. We need a couple of big bats who can play positions well, a couple of top-notch starters, and better weather.

Valid point and I’m in no position to evaluate that. Just saying overall have not seen breakout improvement.

Yes but there are still huge questions about him.
