in watching bunch of SEC preview shows that rumors that LB was so frustrated with the very stupid lack of targets to him and Theo. Tigers were not very good in first halfs a Kirby was too focused on establinshing run and he was open constantly and not getting thrown too. So second half of season he was simply not trying as hard as it wasn't till in desperate late games situations they went to him more. wasn't doing the little things that would have helped the team. or when he wasn't the target not really going hard in his routes.
Lots of criticism of Kirby and Eli for allowing this to happen. Now in NFL he is finally getting much better coaching and is working very hard in all facets of his game and GM of bears was quoted as saying they got steal of draft because of the woeful use of his talents in his senior year and he will quickly ascend to a star in league.
You can't argue against that as his numbers and targets were not near what they should have been.
That's what it is crucial for Kirby if he is ever going to do anything in his career to come out firing and attacking all the time instead of playing it too safe and not putting up more scoring in first half. Right now his coaching stock and rep is very low. Hopefully Eli has had a come to Jesus meeting with him and demanded more but to be honest Eli was similar in his time as the OC, Just a guy and too cautious.

No need to throw shade at the young man on an anonymous message board. Luther would likely beat you up in real life if you said that to his face.

I left in the only accurate comment.
Feel free to link to any of the other nonsense, especially the quote from Poles about our “woeful” coaching.
If anyone cares what Poles said here in reality-

Burden got to the pros unscathed, with no major injuries.
Wound up getting a nice contract which should set him up for life if invested wisely.
Will be playing for a who some folks call an offensive genius.
Why all the minutia to go with it?
Now it's his turn to shine.
Will be interesting to see how he pans out.

Phil Sims was the one who called out the staff for underutilizing his talents.hdhntr148 wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025 09:11 am in watching bunch of SEC preview shows that rumors that LB was so frustrated with the very stupid lack of targets to him and Theo. The people who have responded so far in this thread don't care about reality. If anyone cares what Poles said here in reality-

It's the usual suspects who only care about attacking the program.

Phil Sims said that about Brady Cook. Well no, actually what Phil Sims said was Mizzou didn’t have the talent or run an offense that would allow Cook to “shine”.knttiger wrote: ↑21 Aug 2025 07:33 amPhil Sims was the one who called out the staff for underutilizing his talents.hdhntr148 wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025 09:11 am in watching bunch of SEC preview shows that rumors that LB was so frustrated with the very stupid lack of targets to him and Theo. Which of course is laughable on its own merit.
This is a great thread to remind people to get their news from literally anyone but people on this forum.
