Here’s an idea Jordan Walker
Maybe move closer to the plate
You are just giving strikes away on outer half
P.S. get rid of the deer in headlights look too

No more sugarcoating it.
He doesn’t deserve to be on a MLB field right now

Hasn't deserved to be on an MLB field for 2 years. I have np with them altering his swing, but...Baseball Savant wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025 20:52 pm No more sugarcoating it.

If only there were some kind of practice league where players could work on new swing approaches without it affecting the MLB team...
Re: Here’s an idea Jordan Walker
I really don't get this. They aren't doing him any favors. If he and they want him to be a successful major league player then send him to AAA. You don't play with the big club until you show us you can at least be successful at that level. Outside of starting pitching he's the biggest unknown and this has basically been another wasted year. He look lost. If he could somehow capture the seeming potential that would answer such a big question for the franchise.Baseball Savant wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025 20:52 pm No more sugarcoating it.

I have often heard from watching the games, what a hard worker JW is. I really find it hard to believe that he either cant be coached, or won't be coached.
With his hand speed, and the raw power that he hits the ball, there is no reason why he shouldn't be a very successful major leaguer. Just mind boggling.

Re: Here’s an idea Jordan Walker
Every time he comes up to bat, I think about how his picture was on the cover of some baseball publication as the bright future of MLB. As I recall, at the time, no one saw this debacle coming. Every expert with a keyboard gushed over what a can’t miss prospect JW was.Baseball Savant wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025 20:01 pm Maybe move closer to the plate

Hah, next time spend more than 30 seconds doing your crop, but yeah the kid is clearly not getting any better under the current plan, whatever that may be.

He only has one option left, and they have not utilized it this year. Options are good for the entire season, go down once can go back and forth many times, its still one option. So if you send him down now 2025, there is no option to send him down next year. So they will keep him up the rest of this season and save the last option season for next year when he can stay all year or bounce back and forth etcbakker wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025 21:12 pmI really don't get this. This is a true blunder though. This wasn’t just the Cardinals hyping him. This was the #1 prospect in all of baseball at one point.Braund241 wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025 20:56 pmHow many of these unbelievable talents could you say that about.
