MrPostman, I think you are reading the chart wrong. It shows the Cards as having .95% chance at the #1 pick. That's IF we finish 15th overall. The chart shows 3 teams as being ineligible, Rockies, Nationals and Angels.

That site also has a SOS (Schedule of Strength) chart for the remaining season. It shoulds the Cards as the 4th worst at .517, Dodgers as 2nd best at .466. Cubs have the 3rd best and Brewers 8th worst. We could easily move up to top 10 on the bad (worst record) list.

That's all IF I'm reading the crazy chart right.
Both of you read it correctly...at the time you read it. Tankathon didn't change their St. Louis Cardinals status until this morning. For the last 8 1/2 months it used to read the same as the Rockies, Nationals and Angels. Now it reads with an actual % chance to win the lottery.

Something changed very recently about our Receiving/Paying status with Revenue.

I was eventually wrong on this....good to know, and actually good for the Club.

We're not very far out of the Bottom 5 which would almost guarantee we land in the Top 7 or 8 after the lottery.
Thanks guys, I was playing the Tankathon lottery every commercial break during the games and we had never moved up! Now there's hope!

on edit: It took 9 tries but we landed second!

Tank for Roch Cholowsky?
I want to be the first person in Cards Talk to complain about the Cardinals drafting him because we already have too many SS/middle IF prospects and that we should draft an outfielder or RH pitcher because we need one more.

Not that I believe it, but I just want to be the first. Because if you know we're going to get a few complaints like that if it were to happen.

UCLA. SS that hit 23 HR's last year during his Sophomore season. Seems to be the current consensus #1, but I'm sure a lot will change during the year.

SS can move anywhere...mostly....move him around, doesn't have to play SS.

If you want true power hitter....go with Reese from Mississippi State
