Thanks guys, I was playing the Tankathon lottery every commercial break during the games and we had never moved up! Now there's hope!craviduce wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 14:56 pmBoth of you read it correctly...at the time you read it. Tankathon didn't change their St. Louis Cardinals status until this morning. For the last 8 1/2 months it used to read the same as the Rockies, Nationals and Angels. Now it reads with an actual % chance to win the lottery.HorseTrader wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 13:30 pmMrPostman, I think you are reading the chart wrong. It shows the Cards as having .95% chance at the #1 pick. That's IF we finish 15th overall. The chart shows 3 teams as being ineligible, Rockies, Nationals and Angels.MrPostman01 wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 08:02 am But the ever informative Tankathon shows the Cards as ineligible for top ten and worse, the position is ineligible to play in the lotto and perhaps grab a better pick. (It does not say ineligible to play lotto, but the Cards only move backwards.)

That site also has a SOS (Schedule of Strength) chart for the remaining season. It shoulds the Cards as the 4th worst at .517, Dodgers as 2nd best at .466. Cubs have the 3rd best and Brewers 8th worst. We could easily move up to top 10 on the bad (worst record) list.
That's all IF I'm reading the crazy chart right.
Something changed very recently about our Receiving/Paying status with Revenue.
I was eventually wrong on this....good to know, and actually good for the Club.
We're not very far out of the Bottom 5 which would almost guarantee we land in the Top 7 or 8 after the lottery.
on edit: It took 9 tries but we landed second!

I want to be the first person in Cards Talk to complain about the Cardinals drafting him because we already have too many SS/middle IF prospects and that we should draft an outfielder or RH pitcher because we need one more.cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 15:19 pm So I guess we’re all in tank mode now?
Tank for Roch Cholowsky?
Not that I believe it, but I just want to be the first. Because if you know we're going to get a few complaints like that if it were to happen.

UCLA. SS that hit 23 HR's last year during his Sophomore season. Seems to be the current consensus #1, but I'm sure a lot will change during the year.craviduce wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 19:46 pmIs that the UCLA kid? or the Kentucky kid?Ronnie Dobbs wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 19:38 pmI want to be the first person in Cards Talk to complain about the Cardinals drafting him because we already have too many SS/middle IF prospects and that we should draft an outfielder or RH pitcher because we need one more.cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 15:19 pm So I guess we’re all in tank mode now?

SS can move anywhere...mostly....move him around, doesn't have to play SS.cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 20:01 pmUCLA. SS that hit 23 HR's last year during his Sophomore season.
