Who actually saw Musial, Brock or Gibson play?

I was a baby when Musial retired, but was able to watch Gibby/Brock plenty of times. Ironically Musial was the only one I actually met, I was a small kid, was with my dad in some cafe, don't know the name of it.

Back in the 70's, no home games were televised, only road games were, and not all of them. So on Gibby's 3000th strikeout, his no hitter, Brock's 3000th hit, his stolen base records, my memories of those were all from listening on the radio.
But shortly after Gibson's no hitter, my family was at the game when the Cardinals honored him on the field along with his family.

I also mastered Brock's hard feet first popup slide when I played ball.

Was at Wrigley in May of 1972.
First ever MLB game in person.
Saw Gibson beat Jenkins 1-0.
Both pitched complete a complete game.
Brock drove in the only run.
Brock, Torre, Simmons, Gibson, Billy Williams, and Jenkins all in the starting lineup.
Red Schoendienst and Leo Durocher were the managers.
8 Hall of Famer members.

Met them all, saw only Brock and Gibson play. My Dad played with Musial in 1955, which gave him access thru Joe Cunningham in the Card’s front office to field and locker room in 60’s. I met Gibson and Brock only long enough in the locker room to get autographs in ‘69 or ‘70 (I was 13 or 14 YO). Met Musial same year at Biggie’s. Gibby was gruff, but lightened up when I told him I was Cunningham’s guest. Brock and Musial were gracious and friendly. (I know…fortunate son, as John Fogarty might say.)

My dad would take me from central Illinois to either St Louis or Chicago to see Cards v Cubs. Saw Gibson v Jenkins probably 5 or 6 times. Never failed to be a pitchers duel and Brock almost always had a key role in the game. Brock was my favorite player and actually got Gibson's autograph.

Saw that same trio several times.
Brock and Gibson are who made me an MLB fan.
Still the 2 most entertaining players I have ever seen.

KMOX in Central Illinois?
Are you sure it wasn't a local station in Springfield, Decatur, Peoria, Bloomington, or Champaign?

I especially remember one particular game involving Brock from 1966. He led off the game with a triple off Marichal off the CF wall and scored on a SAC fly in a game that ended up 2-1 Cardinals with Cepeda and McCovey each hitting tape measure solo HRs and Nelson Briles getting the win backed by 5 double plays.

I believe my younger brother and I were at that game, a noon, Thursday "Businessman's Special" at Busch II. McCovey's blast cleared the 414-foot sign in dead centerfield. That sound right to you? It was a fast game, too.
