Hit it hard thru the middle. Nice backhand play by second baseman Chisholm. I think that’s who plays second .Lightning Rod wrote: ↑17 Aug 2025 13:58 pmYeah but did you notice the Walker EV?blackinkbiz wrote: ↑17 Aug 2025 13:54 pm The Gorman-Walker soup du jour. Pop fly followed by a ground out.

Probably a case of pitchers adjusting howFrancis Park Thug wrote: ↑17 Aug 2025 14:00 pmIs this a slump?11WSChamps wrote: ↑17 Aug 2025 13:41 pm Herrera has fallen off a cliff the last several weeks.
Just two HR in over 120 plate appearances.
OPS in the .670 neighborhood the last seven weeks.
Or, is this who he is?
they pitch to him after a hot start.
Shouldn't have been unexpected. We'll see how he reacts and makes his own adjustments.

Step 1: Hit it hard.
Step 2: Don't hit it to the same places over and over. The defense will learn to stand there.

Chip making [shirt] up again...claimed Church swung at the first pitch. It was the second. Took a ball outside and up, first potch

at the beginning of the inning, Chip said Saggese and then Ryan Church.
hey, chip, his name is Nathan
after the AB, Chip said he flied out on the first pitch.
hey, chip, it was the second pitch.
accuracy is not chip's thing.

It's good to see Walker is still stinging the ball. Those are gonna start finding more holes. I'm more optimistic on him at this point this year than at any time since the beginning of last year.

You are correct.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑17 Aug 2025 14:07 pm Chip making [shirt] up again...claimed Church swung at the first pitch. It was the second. Took a ball outside and up, first potch
However, Church did expand the zone and swing at something off the plate instead of patiently waiting for a good pitch to hit. Not a good start.

I thought he hit it hard. Took a good lay by a shaded fielder.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑17 Aug 2025 14:10 pmLoL. Agreed. He should have taken a strike. I'm sure adrenaline got the better of him.cardstatman wrote: ↑17 Aug 2025 14:11 pmYou are correct.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑17 Aug 2025 14:07 pm Chip making [shirt] up again...claimed Church swung at the first pitch. Burleson:
Takes 3-0 right down the middle.
On 3-1 flails at ball 4.
Flies out on 3-2.
