It may have been prudent for Mo to have traded for a starting pitcher that had a chance at a spot in the rotation next season. That should have been feasible in a Helsley trade.

Dohm might become that guy in a couple years. The fact they targeted A ball prospects tacitly acknowledges they see this retooling as a multi year project. To fill out next year's rotation I could see a one year Gibson type deal or two.
