Since we’re on the booz topic and you’re in TN……are the Whiskey Distillers really going under due to the lack of consumption? :(
due to Orange bois tax increase
That’s cute. Tell me, what part of Tennessee whiskey distillation is subject to tariffs?

Float trip on the Big Piney that day. Sorry to miss your party.
Been awhile but I've spent many a day on the Big Piney been on all of it from Mineral SPrings down to where it enters Ft. Wood. Good memories with friends, dad, uncle and cousin. I'll be in Missouri around Sept 20th, I may have to spend a day on it again.

I grew up south of Ft. Wood and went to school in Bloodland for 6 years and then finished at Plato.

There used to be a great campground/livery at Boiling Springs off 63 about 5 miles south of Licking. A nice couple owned it and we went 2-3 times for 3 nights, floating and fishing during the day.
They had a decent building with a little store and restaurant.
It all got wiped out in a flood in 2016 I believe.

It's still there. At one time it belonged to my cousin Judy and her husband. They sold it probably 6-8 years ago. They got tired of cleaning up after the spring floods. The Boiling Springs Resort here's the website and I believe they are on facebook https://boilingspringscampground.com/

Please let me know when you’re holding a welcome Chaim Bloom party.
That one will feature hookers and blow. Sure you want to come?
Actually I don't think that would be appropriate for a welcome Bloom party. And I think most people would agree.
But keep trying.
So what are you thinking, Chuckee Cheese?
I was thinking Chaim Bloom party at Outback would be better.
Have free appetizers… BLOOM n Onion.
Good one. Hooters never disappoints.
Yeah, like the guy who took his wife to Hooters for lunch.
He asked the buxom server if they had grilled chicken breast sandwiches. She replied Yes ! He said. Ok 2 large breasts please !
Guy’s wife slapped him upside the head .
I’m just throwing that out there as a location for the big bash. Gonna be nothing but old men in attendance. Works for me.

I got just old, I didn’t go blind. Ha.
I started life, half blind, got old but can spot a pair a mile away

The place that your cousin Judy owned (if it is the one south of Licking) does not exist anymore, it was definitely wiped out in the flood, either 2016 or 2017. They were the nice couple I spoke of.
They sold it to a young couple who were unable to make a go of it.

The link you sent is for a different place, outside of Dixon, north of I-44 and is on the Gasconade.

Such a day would just be more gaslighting from ownership and the front office. The fans could respond with collective chants of "Chaim" or "Bloom".

What is your problem with Bloom?

Do you actually think there is any chance whatsoever that Bloom can or will be worse than Mozeliak?
Anything is possible...But Mo-ran has set the bar pretty low...in fact, Bloom should be happy to be able to follow such an incompetent, arrogant idiot.

My mistake, I drove down there maybe 2 years ago and there was nothing there except a house that had fallen into the river across from the old resort.

I’m really glad they’ve reopened; the float from Mineral Springs to Boiling Springs is a nice one and lots of smallmouth bass.

Sorry but it is the correct link, check the address in upper right hand corner, BB HWy, Licking Mo. The resort is still open, it's been wiped out more then once but rebuilt. Two links

Sorry I missed this post. Glad we got it straight. If you like smaller rivers/creeks a couple of good floats are from 1- Simmons Ford Access (Big Piney River) between Houston and Cabool. I've gone from there down to the Baptist Camp Access. To go farther will require either private land access to get out or a LONG float down to Z hwy, probably about as easy to go on down to Dog's Bluff.

The other is on Roubidoux, smaller and shows up as a creek. It's floatable from Plato the bridge over Hwy 17 for sure. That is a long 2 float if you fishing much. A more reasonable trip (4-6 hours easy) is from off Roby go north on hwy 17, turn left on St Anna Rd (may show at 5890) turn left on St Anna, it will dead end at wiped out bridge. I'd think a guy could still get a small jon boat or canoe in there. The bridge was never more then about 3 feet about the river. Float down to the bridge over Hwy 17. Used to be able to pull down below the bridge to take out. I don't know if you still can or not. Pretty washed out last time I went by there. If nothing changed, it's good small mouth and goggleye fishing.

Dad and I used to go there about once a week and walk up to end of the big field and fish back down.
