i bet kurkjian had a mean 65 mph fastball and 45 mph eephus pitch
And I’m sure Pete the bambino gammons was launching them
Into the upper deck I think he had a couple of 40-40 seasons before he got off the steroids
They are journalists, not in the booth analysts.
I default to a baseline of expected hardcore baseball knowledge when communicating with CTers…..assuming they would be hardcore to log in here
That apparently is a mistake……
Some of these posters make me wonder if they even watch MLB…..
You just said analyst in your post. All of the ones we mentioned were and are listed as analysts
Those are journalists…..they don’t work in the booth
The analyst is an ex-major leaguer working with the play-by-play guy
Mike Shannon
Hrabosky
Ankeil
Edmonds
Steve Stone
Don Sutton
Keith Hernandez
ESPN put the gal in the booth as an analyst when the only experience she had was being a Softball Girl…..not even close to same game….what exactly was she going to put forth while giving her insight on a MLB game??? Pure DEI pandering.

This is like when ESPN had the gal on their Sunday night braodcast…..Why???
She’s there to be an analyst…..her experience is telling how she did things playing SOFTBALL…..Not the same sport
No experience on the baseball diamond and certainly not close to anything MLB
But hey…..Breaking down those walls……
They had better fire the male analysts who never played MLB baseball also then
David Cone??
Peter gammons? When did he play in the big leagues?
lol --- or buster olney and tim kurkjian?
Beat me to it I was adding them lol
Review what a Play-by-play, analyst, and sideline reporter are……
Example for you
PBP-Danny Mac
Analyst- Al Hrabosky
Sideline reporter- Jimmy the Cat
The reporter isn’t in the booth……the ESPN gal was an “Analyst” along with Arod.

They don’t sit in the booth and call the game. They interview players……

Yes, Claiborne sometimes does color.
I think Rooney is good… Horton gets on my nerves. Wouldn’t call KMOX a joke, but nothing is really up to your incredibly high standards.

Especially not women
I don’t think women need to be in every possible position just so someone can say they put them there……
As mentioned do you want a 100+mph ball going off her head?
Seen umps run over by players
The type of MALE language and attitude displayed on the field isn’t something I’d want my Mom, Wife, or Daughter around
But some think of these things in a more traditional view and others see no since of decorum any longer……..

lol when I was in college my girlfriend played softball and I played baseball and when I would listen to them on the field and during practice and their language was just like our language in baseball this isn’t the 1930s and there are men refereeing women’s softball women’s tennis and the WNBA do you object to that? Most women aren’t as delicate and sensitive as you make them out to be

So you understand there’s a Male locker room atmosphere in these environments…..if you’re fine with your wife being around that so be it. It doesn’t seem optimal. Do you think Marmol is going to be comfortable going out there to argue and letting it fly?? Of course not but thats the situation you put him in now

The women who don't want your protection should not have it forced upon them.
