Dopey lineup. You are no better than MO. Dumb as Oli.
You are a gutless weasel. What's your lineup?
Just replace Burleson with Walker you useless garden gnome. Presto. They asked for most upside, that ain't your boy Burly. He has peaked, just getting fatter and slower. Wear it.
This reveals how clueless you are regarding hitting ability.
Please stop cluttering the board with the same stupid threads related to nothing. Thank you in advance.

Role them out day in and day out. Sink or swim.
Herrera hasn’t played catcher in 3+ months

Just compare his time in AAA to that of Nathan Church, who has almost the same range in CF as Scott and a far superior arm (24 assists in minors vs Scott's 11). Then consider their college careers to see if they were ever elite hitters. It seems obvious:

Scott
AAA - .210 .294 .303 .597 in 362 PAs. Range Factor vs League 2.72 2.62
College - .254/.368/.419/.787

Church
AAA - .332/.396/.500/.896 in 213 PAs. Range Factor vs League 2.70 2.53
College - .341/.405/.515/.920

So the question the OP was getting at I think was, what is the best lineup right now to try and win as many games as possibly as long as the Cards have a shot for the PO's this year, regardless of the odds being on the long side.
Imo, right now, VS2 is the CF guy for that.

Now next year, yes, to start the year I'd give VS2 some runway to show if once again he improved in the off season to keep his job, but if Church or Baez would challenge him for that spot, that'd be very sweet to see. Would love to see either one of them come in and earn the CF position. To me, it's all about improving the overall team, not the name on the back of a shirt.
For VS2, if he could just improve his OB% to at least the .320 range, he won't be that easy to beat out. His 30.6'/sec. sprint to catch that ball in late innings last night he might have made look relatively easy, but not many can close like that. Glad he was the guy out there, as that was a key play in the W.
Big fan of Baez btw, and am impressed with how Church has been playing. Quality OF depth would be ............... rare, but great to have.

I didn't say bring him up now. I started a thread about Sept Call-Ups, and I said Church or Baez should be one - simply so we can see how they fare vs MLB pitching before next year (even ST pitching isn't a great test). We have a very good idea what we have - and don't have - with VSII. VSII would really have to find something to increase his OBP from .283 to .320 - so what's the problem with looking at some others (who are also very good defensively). And note: Church has a Fangraphs' Speed of 6.8 vs. JJW's 5.6, so he's not slow.
