Gray verse Imanaga
Good morning.
Sunday night baseball. Gray v imanaga. Finally Ace to Ace. And a night gane for Gray. No heat.
We were 42-36 when we met Cubs first series. We won first two to go 8 over .500. We did not pitch Gray on game four against Cubs. We saved him. Since the we are 17-22 ish.
Had we pitched Gray in that series we may have had different results hence better over all results.
Good game Sunday.

Worse case scenario is a split series going in. You should see a great baseball game.WLTFE wrote: ↑09 Aug 2025 09:16 amI'll be there...Cubs are not playing well..should be a good one...sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑09 Aug 2025 09:10 am Good morning.

Gray 10-5, 4.21, 1.17 Whip.
Imanaga 8-4, 3.12, 1.02 whip.
Imanaga 8-4, 3.12, 1.02 whip.
Re: Gray verse Imanaga
Cards could have signed Imanaga. How different would our rotation look with him. Instead they cheaped out and Chicago signed him. Pretty sad.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑09 Aug 2025 09:10 am Good morning.

Guessing they'll still be some heat, just hoping it's applied to the Cubbies rear end as they ............. sputter downward.

Re: Gray verse Imanaga
Would the game take on any more significance if it were a sweep scenario. For the Cubs?

Cards NEVER play well on Sunday Night Baseball, or any nationally televised game. Or it sure seems that way!sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑09 Aug 2025 09:10 am Good morning.

No I don’t think they did either.
Tough to sign someone if you don’t offer them a contract.

Hoyer personally scouted Imanaga during a trip to Japan in September and has kept in touch with his representatives, though the Cubs did not jump in as a top candidate until the late stages of negotiations.
“Every team is different, and it’s a long process,” Imanaga said. The athlete on Thursday through an interpreter. “At one point I mentioned, ‘I hope the Cubs make me an offer.’ I was just kind of kidding because at that time the Cubs were out of the picture.

Since I really dislike the LA Dogdirts, I always enjoyed our dominance of The Great Kershaw. Had a grin from ear to ear when Big City Adams and Kolten Wong went deep in the playoffs against Kershaw.82birds wrote: ↑09 Aug 2025 11:08 amusually true, although beating Kershaw certainly was a wonderful exceptionCardinals4Life wrote: ↑09 Aug 2025 10:56 amsikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑09 Aug 2025 09:10 am Good morning.

That said, those days were eons ago, thanks to Mozo the Clown, Oily Oli, and MO’s cast of incompetents. The end of this season can’t come too soon.

There is more to being an ace than ERA alone.
Gray is 11-5 now for a .500 team.
