We went to the game. LF bleachers. A lot of quiet Cub fans around us. Several left early.
It took awhile for Cardinal fans to engage, but once the Cardinals started pushing across runs, the fans clicked in. It helped that the Flubs started mishandling bunts and grounders and throwing balls away.
I just got done saying out loud that Hampson can't lay down a bunt and Pages couldn't run. And then Hampson laid one down down the 1B line and like a freight train, Oages chugged into 2B.
Walker's HR was a rocket. 111.7 MpH ev on a line into LF bleachers.
Fun game. Kept our game attendance winning streak alive.

Walker up to batting .240 with a .633 OPS. He's now basically 2025 Arenado
I kid, I kid. Love to see the big fella finally hitting.
If Walker continues to hit at .286 clip the remaining 40+ games, he may end the year at high .240’s overall.
Those who dislike Walker instead of focusing on the last 70 + games of .286 may focus on …. Well he hit just .247 for the year !
Depends on one’s perspective…. Overall for entire year or second half improvement
A strong finish can and should trump the struggles.
His balance tonight was on point.
Hope he stays on track; he'd be a difference maker if able to.
Interesting game....a fun one with a decent crowd...and I didn't see any old people combust due to the heat...and Red has a troll!....someone who reported others for trolling...apparently, some people, as they age, become more childish and immature.
