Brewers win on game-ending throw out at home plate

Post by ramfandan »

Mets runner on 2nd with 2 outs top of 9th in Milw.
Mets trailed 3-2 .

Base hit to CF …Blake Perkins throws a strike to Contreras.
OUT !
Brewers keep finding ways to win.
If Cards win, Cubs will slide to 5 full games behind 1st place Brewers.

And it was a fast runner going on contact he was already around third before outfielder even fielded that ball! It was like some voodoo magic that the ball was suddenly 100 ft closer. lmao

I swear if they DON'T win the WS this year or at least make it there then all of this is just one big mirage. lol

That's why I've always despised them in the past. They never did anything extraordinarily well, they just always found weird ways to win games.

This year's different. Probably the best rotation in baseball and the never-ending pressure on the basepaths clearly has teams on their heels.

They're even winning without Churio.

Mets losing tonight could end up being a good things for the WIld Cards.

Yes, and sure you noticed the Reds lost again too. So 5 losses in a row for Mets and 3 straight losses for Reds .
Wildcard is tightening a bit . 45 games left. Don't throw in the white towel just yet . Never say never !

And they scored the winning run on a bases loaded HBP at the batters feet?!!

Seeing the Mets lose their fifth game in a row is delightful. Soto, Lindor, and Alonso's combined salary is more than the entire payroll of the Brewers. Highly amusing.

Wild card chance is still there, if the youngsters excel for the next 45 games, it could happen.
