After losing most of last year due to injury, Ennis Rakestraw is out for the season due to a shoulder injury suffered yesterday in practice. I was really looking forward to see what growth he’s made since the Lions drafted him in 2024 in the second round.

Several defensive starters suffered season-ending injuries, including defensive end Aidan Hutchinson (broken leg), defensive tackle Alim McNeill (knee, ACL), defensive tackle Kyle Peko (pectoral), defensive end Marcus Davenport (triceps), defensive end John Cominsky (knee, MCL), defensive tackle Mekhi Wingo (knee), defensive end Nate Lynn (shoulder), linebacker Alex Anzalone (broken arm), linebacker Derrick Barnes (knee, PCL and MCL), linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez (knee, ACL), cornerback Carlton Davis (fractured jaw), and cornerback Khalil Dorsey (ankle).

We were all terrified Friday evening when Mo Norris suffered a gruesome injury (head snapped back making a tackle when the runner knee hit his helmet).
