But it would be entertaining as heck, for me

ESPN would still work in Sox Yankees angle.

Brandon Woodruff is the Brewers ace. Brandon Workman used to be a pitcher for the Red Sox. Brandon W. There ya go!

And Durbin came from the Yankees.

Tigers once traded for David Price who then traded him to Toronto and then he left to sign a deal with the Red Sox.

Brewers 1B is Hoskins who used to be a Phillie. Work in the Bryce Harper and Phillies in there, too.

And Jose Quintana was once a Met. And they signed Juan Soto. What a great team the Mets have.

I posted a number of times about what a great organization they are -- and how the Cardinals need to steal from their model.
But look at this box score from last night and tell me – – how do they get it done? Pitching, speed, and defense, because the power isn't there.
Wm Contreras not having a great year and Yelich has been tailing off. Yet somehow they are 4th in runs scored in MLB and that can win you a WS.
Now Misiorowski is hurt, along with Chourio, but they haven't lost in August after that huge winning streak in July. (best 60-day streak in club history).

Yes. Gee, I love watching other teams play while the Cardinals are at home. Great work, Mo!

Here's the thing. They're on a roll no doubt, but they aren't as good as their record. I do believe they win the division and maybe they'll finally win some playoff games. That lineup in LA though is going to be tough to beat. San Diego may have something to say also. The Brewers are coming up all roses right now and they have the pitching which is why they are where they are. Their lineup though is suspect and in pressure games I think they'll struggle to score. Especially away from home. The people of Milwaukee do deserve some winning and maybe a World Series trophy though. It's been 43 years? since they've been in the World Series? Good luck to them.

I apologize, I didn't remember that. Maybe they'll go all the way this time. They're at a huge disadvantage in payroll though and that usually doesn't bode too well. They do have the adequate pitching.
