If Mozeliak were announced as the starting pitcher...I actually might buy a ticket

Mikolas has a career win/loss record of 64-64 over 9 seasons, an average of 7.1 wins per season. He's made a pretty good income for that kind of production.

And hope for a Lou Brock hit #3000 shot (and I was there!) off his leg?

I was there too with my late father. My recollection was he needed two hits and got them in his first two at bats.

With our luck, they'd probably start him on the road.

Yeah, I'd go to that. When Moe gets to 100 pitches, bring in Girsch. (Has anybody seen him this year? I think we should start checking milk cartons.)

Lamp threw the first pitch in the 4th at Lou's head, Lou hit the next pitch off Lamp!

I don't remember anyone wanting to DFA him...

I had forgotten about the "brushback"! I remember when it hit Lamp it shot straight toward the 3rd base line into foul territory and was obviously not gonna be fielded. I still have my little "certificate" that showed I was there for the 3000th hit. Good times!

Season was already pretty underwater once Adam even made his first start.

Also, Adam was a legend on the team. Closed out a world series win, and pitched a heck of a lot of good seasons prior to. AND the season before, he was definitely above average.

Mikolas has done nothing here of note. He's essentially Kent Bottenfield except he never went away.

As for who to start? Well, I get not wanting to fudge around with arb clocks, but how about Wilkerson in AAA? Or that other guy they signed out of the Mexican leagues. I don't expect much, but they can't be worse. I've also been hearing a little scuttlebutt on Leahy starting, possibly. I mean, heck, if we're only going to get three innings out of this spot, why not make it three innings of likely decent pitching?
Agree with most except “Mikolas has done nothing here of note”.

He said he would like to tell the fans to eat [shirt].

That was noteworthy and not in a good way!

I was at that game, I didn’t get a certificate but still have the ticket stub.

One other thing of note. His first season here he pitched 200 innings with a sub 3 era and an 18-4 record. Yeah, I know an 18-4 record apparently doesn't mean anything anymore, but still. The rest of his tenure has been rather pedestrian. And the eat shirt thing didn't age well, did it?

well.....there is at least one guy who agreed with me...

prepare to be attacked..
You feel it's being attacked when people are just pointing out a difference in opinion?

You should re-think this over and try a different angle of trolling, as you are coming off like a fragile little sausage wallet to most who haven't watched you through the years.

He's in his 10th mlb season and is currently 70-73 overall, 3 teams. He is 66-67 (4.15 era) with us. So yeah, 7 wins a season and making big bucks. He DOES pitch a lot of innings, unfortunately a lot of those innings are not good.
