What position is he going to play? Can he stick at catcher? Can he play 3B? Should they just move him to another position now?

he looks okay...which I'd say is average at catcher. Blocking the plate is the concern, so was the running game, but he's pretty quick out of the kneel crouch...and has thrown out quite a few runners...continue progression on that end....he's better than the DSL scouts portrayed him to be.

Is he going to beat out Bernal or Crooks?

I guess you just have to wait and see. But some time at another position is also appropriate in his development.

His ETA appears to be 2 to 3 years out. That would seem like sufficient time to ponder his best position?
Being so young I would just let him play and progress where he is most comfortable.
If his bat continues to produce they then can concern themselves with his best position which obviously will be impacted by the status of the depth chart.

exactly...well said, more than enough time to figure out his position. He surprised quite a few with his Catching this season, so they're sticking with it...for now.
