2 singles in 4 games.

kick start it, Burley.
His first full year was last year. Just like Winn. 162 wore them out. They are much more conditioned this year. Better hitters now.. Burly is a good hitter and not as bad defensively as people want to say.
he's never going to be good defensively. He's closer to average this year. Horrible in the OF. His bat needs to improve by a lot to justify an OF spot on a regular basis. Thankfully, for him, the rest of the team sucks offensively, save Ivan, Con, and Winn...so his weaknesses get overlooked.

On a good team, he's a PH bat. Platoon vs. some RHP.
Right, but he's not the problem, nor is he what you build around. He's a piece if the FO will get some bats and SP...

33 K Hernandez, Stewart
32 Betts, T Hernandez, Snell, Conforto
31 Banda, Glasnow, Gonsolin
30 Ohtani, Scott, Phillips, Call, Smith, Edman

They will have to get out the checkbook soon and buy the best players from other teams again.
Gotta wonder which of these contracts are ending. They can't just keep printing money in L.A., can they?
Yes, they can.

They owe Betts till 2032 or 2033. Freeman's contract is up after 2027

They are at $238M for the 2027 strike season.

Saggese takes two right down the middle then swings futilely at unhittable pitch way outside.

As long as Pages plays, Burly is not a big problem.

He is terribly out of shape and his bat slows

He was horrible last 2 months in 2024
It baffles the mind that a professional organization and the athlete don’t require their players to be in shape. Look at Luka Doncic, finally getting in shape after 5 years. No excuse for Burleson to be out of shape. Yes he’s got a big body shape but that can be conditioned. The organization shouldn’t put up with it. Tell them they don’t play unless and/or until they show up in top condition for their body type. Athletes will react to playing time penalties.

Completely agree. They make tons of money. Burly hits pretty well. I'd be looking at Pages and Pozo before Burly.. Pulls wasnt exactly a physical specimen.

Good job, Gray. You deserve better from your offense.

That's it for me, I'm nodding off.

GO CARDS!!!

This was Glasnow's 120th career start. He will be 32 later this month.

He's very good but don't blink or you will miss him.

I feel like Scott is genuinely at risk of finishing under .200
