No, he is not - for sure! And man, I really thought he'd be a very good hitter when he first came up but now I'm very disappointed. Seems he takes too many strikes down the middle and when he does swing, appears he's pulling off the ball. jmhoCranny wrote: ↑03 Aug 2025 20:17 pmThat Nootbarr just isn’t a good hitter.tommydin wrote: ↑03 Aug 2025 20:12 pm This team is pathetic. They no starting pitching and basically no offense. In early July they had a 52 inning scoreless streak. And gong to the 5 th inning today , they had scored 1 run in 33 innings.
Gorman, Nootbarr, Scott, and Arenoda can’t hit. Walker is close to them. In today’s game through 8 innings they had struck out 15 times , including 4 innings where all 3 outs were strikeouts. They didn’t do much at the trade deadline because what do they have to offer(pitchers with ERA’s over 4 and over 5.
In other words, Turn out the lights , the.party is over!
There is a fine line between going thru the motions verse performance. At this level, such a minute discrepancy has a monumental affect.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑03 Aug 2025 23:29 pmI felt the effort for the first 8 was pathetic.
I had some interest in seeing if oli could/would change as a manager without Mozeliak's influence. But at this point, it is becoming obvious he isn't the guy.rockondlouie wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 08:51 am Matt Holliday on 101.1 the other day said when ownership sells at the deadline players fell like they're just "playing out the string and playing for their own stats".
Oli isn't a motivator, he won't right this sinking ship.
Going to be a sorry last two months.
But the good news is Mo is gone and they better send Oli w/him.
TRUE CHANGE can only happen if both are GONE!

We've known that since Game 1 of the Phillies playoff game.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 09:37 amI had some interest in seeing if oli could/would change as a manager without Mozeliak's influence. For sure Bad, been pointing that out in my OP ("BDWJR is the real problem") for years hoping he'd sell the team.Bad14 wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 10:02 amDon't forget the ownerrockondlouie wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 08:51 am Matt Holliday on 101.1 the other day said when ownership sells at the deadline players fell like they're just "playing out the string and playing for their own stats".

He's why I think fans are going to be disappointed in Bloom. Maybe I don't get it because I'm not a billionaire but why own a sports team if you don't try to win? There are other ways to make money. And while you may own a team that team has a city/state attached to its name. Wouldn't you feel some obligation to the fans of that city/state to try to put a winning product on the field?rockondlouie wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 10:25 amFor sure Bad, been pointing that out in my OP ("BDWJR is the real problem") for years hoping he'd sell the team.Bad14 wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 10:02 amDon't forget the ownerrockondlouie wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 08:51 am Matt Holliday on 101.1 the other day said when ownership sells at the deadline players fell like they're just "playing out the string and playing for their own stats".

My hope is Bloom wouldn't have taken the job (he had options) unless he received some kind of a commitment from Dewitt that he wasn't walking into another Boston massacre!Bad14 wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 11:01 amHe's why I think fans are going to be disappointed in Bloom.
