Your predicted record with football coming soon
I"m going with an optimistic 10-2, and I feel as if the floor is 8-4.
Central Arkansas W
K-Pugh W
Louisiana W
SC W
UMass W
Bama L
@Auburn W
@ Vandy W
aTm W
MSU W
@ Okie L
@ Arky W
I'm wavering a bit on the Okie game at Norman, which is a tough place to play, but maybe Okie is having another bad season by then and the crowd won't be that into it? So I could see the Tigers possibly pulling off a win there and maybe losing the aTm home game or the roadie at Auburn, another tough place to play, and those Tigers figure to be improved.
The first 6 at home will largely determine the season for our Tigers. Win 5 of 6 or all 6, and they're on a roll heading out on the road for the next 2. Go 3-3 (at worst) or 4-2, and the outlook for the final 6 gets dicey.

I’m going to wait until a starting QB is named.

Betting shops have the over/under at 7.5 with the over the cheaper bet.
Here are CFN's streaky picks. 7-1 home, 0-4 away, 3-5 SEC, open dates before Alabama and TAMU.

Re: Your predicted record with football coming soon
8-4, 9-3 if we finally have a QB
Re: Your predicted record with football coming soon
I am hoping for 9-3, but expect 7-5 with loses vs SC, Bama, Auburn, A&M, and OU.

Re: Your predicted record with football coming soon
First off congrats to Mizzou on figuring out how to get 8 home games, its the first time in program history!
Out of the 8 home games 3 are against top #25 teams, Bama, USC and ATM, my guess is they win the 5 unranked games, get embarrassed by Bama, and spit with USC and ATM, pull off 1 upset, and choke one away like last year against USC.
The 4 road game schedule is one of the easiest road schedules in all of power 4 football, the only top #25 team is OU, so my guess is they sweep the road schedule minus OU.
9-3 with a decent bowl game and top #25 finish is my guess.

Hey, man, good to see you post here. I always enjoyed your posts, but haven't seen you much of late. I appreciate your perspectives. I'm curious. Do you post on another forum somewhere now?Flyboy65 wrote: ↑03 Aug 2025 12:16 pm First off congrats to Mizzou on figuring out how to get 8 home games, its the first time in program history!

Fair enough however.......with this schedule momentum is a real possibility to put this team into 2-3 loss territory.JW wrote: ↑03 Aug 2025 14:24 pm Aug 30 Central Arkansas W

If they get to 5-0 to face Bama and lose then pull off an Auburn win (huge) I really like their chances for a 2 loss season and the games in question for that would both be home games.
Not sure why but i think this is a team that has to grow each week to meet its true potential and this schedule can work for them if they can do that.
Re: Your predicted record with football coming soon
That's kind of what I was thinking. This schedule, same as last year's, is soft by SEC standards. No Texas, no UGA, no Tennessee, no Ole Miss, no Florida. And this year, the 3 SEC games that look to be the toughest are at home, not on the road like last year.dhsux wrote: ↑03 Aug 2025 17:24 pmFair enough however.......with this schedule momentum is a real possibility to put this team into 2-3 loss territory.JW wrote: ↑03 Aug 2025 14:24 pm Aug 30 Central Arkansas W

Mizzou goes 8 -4
We have to have one upset and A&M is a home game.

Re: Your predicted record with football coming soon
An improved Vanderbilt on the road will be challenging.

I don't think people realize how good our defense will be.

Re: Your predicted record with football coming soon
Certainly a main focus in the TP.
The defense will have to carry the ball as it were until the new QB is acclimated and the offense gets the kinks out hopefully in time for the SC game.
