What is amusing is that they boo Altuve and Correa…Clubmaker2 wrote: ↑02 Aug 2025 18:55 pm https://www.mlb.com/news/benches-clear- ... d-sox-game
oh, the irony of the situation
but cheer Bregman who was right in the middle of it…
And their own manager was suspended a year for his involvement…
Talk about phony..
For the record…..I approve of booing……there should be more of it for poor performance

In Boston opponents are SOB, their own cheaters are beloved

It's only on when they do it...obviously.
Bregman probably taught Boston how to do it!!

Cora….and Beltran were behind it in H…
Beltran brought the idea with him from the Yankees…and Cora worked the details…
So after that was resolved and he went to Boston…he was suspended again for Boston taping signs in the clubhouse…
Yet….he is popular in Boston

As to today’s incident…..
If Story was observing something that would help his club….good for him…he has his head in the game.
I would blame the H catcher for setting up in a particular position too soon in the pitchers delivery…allowing story to see it and pass it along..
By the way…do they boo arenado or gray at the stadium..

Sign stealing has been part of baseball (and football) forever. As long as it only involves human eyes and hands, I’m OK with it, and in fact, I’m all for it.
But when they start using video, iPhones, Apple Watches, or any other electronic tools, that’s where I draw the line.
I still don’t like golfers who use those cameras and other electronic tools to determine distance to the pin either, but that’s another story for another day….maybe I’m just a Luddite.

Well, googled luddite ....................... yep, I may not be opposed, but might as well be with my lack of endorsing it very well.Hazelwood72 wrote: ↑03 Aug 2025 09:59 am Sign stealing has been part of baseball (and football) forever. yes, you are. People can have the most detailed map but now even more overhead photography and distances to every spec on the ground. Distance estimating skill is not part of the game anymore with that info. Watching caddies take many minutes pacing around is no longer the least bit interesting, as neither interesting is playing or watching 5 hour golf rounds. Rounds need to be shorter, lase it in 4 seconds and move on. Which the PGA championship has switched to.Hazelwood72 wrote: ↑03 Aug 2025 09:59 am Sign stealing has been part of baseball (and football) forever. Exactly! If your opponent is careless enough that you can decipher their signs, by all means use that to your advantage. But that crosses a line when any kind of technology or equipment that isn't standard issue baseball field equipment is used.Hazelwood72 wrote: ↑03 Aug 2025 09:59 am Sign stealing has been part of baseball (and football) forever. Astros were one of the few organizations that benefited from Covid.
Re: Houston will not tolerate sign stealing....by Boston
Pretty simple just ban use of electronic equipment in dugout except bullpen phone. Make managers - manage.
Re: Houston will not tolerate sign stealing....by Boston
Players get bent out of shape over sign stealing and yet no one bats an eye when catchers move their mitts to “frame “ balls into strikes.
