Now that deadline is passed , time for Mo to turn over the POBO duties to Bloom

Post by ramfandan »

Correct me if I'm wrong but at last year's Winter Meetings when Mo was asked by MLB TV guys about him stepping down after the 2025 season , I seem to remember Mo qualifying that by saying , the transition may happen even before my official departure date.
Wouldn't it be beneficial to have Mo pass the torch to Bloom say on Sept. 1st .
Allow Bloom to be the spokesperson in the final month of the season. For Bloom to have interviews with Jimmy the Cat for the final month so he can discuss plans for JJ Wetherholt and what his vision is forward for the team.
Give the fans a chance to 'get to know' Bloom and his thinking for HIS team in 2026 and beyond.

Mo could at least publicly stay in the background doing his whatever duties but put Bloom front and center .
Regardless if the date is Sept . 1st , I think it's time for Mo to turn over the car keys .

Should've been handed over before the deadline. Made no sense for the guy leaving to make any roster decisions. That fool wrecked the franchise for the next few years. He let the mlb roster deteriorate. He allowed the farm system to fall far behind. And there was never a plan to fix it. He rode out the success largely built by others. And now he skates out leaving a mess behind.

Good riddance, you arrogant, lazy (donkey), windbag. Take your condescending attitude and hit the road. Far away from StL.

Cardinal Nation has been none too kind to Mozeliak the last couple of years. So he gets the last laugh and gives Cardinal Nation the middle finger on his way out. "Revenge is a dish best served cold".

How an out going guy can make decisions for year going forward is astounding. I’m thinking when he’s gone, they are gonna keep him on speed dial.

The ASSumptions made in here as though they are fact, are laughable.

+1,000,000. His smugness pisses me off the most...and he is terrible at his job...just go back to your beautiful family.!

Half the people on this board are laughable. They just make things up that support how much they hate the franchise. Most of them couldn't run a little league team.

Pretty sure by the trades we saw Mo has already has ceded a lot of the roster power over to Bloom already.

Less Mo should now be the norm as he fades away (and hopefully takes Oli w/him after game 162).

No one here hates the franchise. They hate the sliding standards that have allowed mediocrity to become the norm. They hate that the owner no longer seems to care. They hate the inaction from the front office.

Bill DeWitt and John Mozeliak are NOT the franchise.

Bingo.
And the other half laps up whatever watery gruel the front office gives them.

This is spot on.
