I'm with you. The model changed in the '10's, they can't keep up with the big dollar teams, and they haven't tried to out-perform the smaller-market teams. A very uninspiring product on the field. Maybe Bloom can improve it, or maybe he's hamstrung by Owner-imposed budgets.

DeWitt's biggest mistake is about to leave. Hopefully, Bloom earns enough trust to convince BDW to spend some $.

The only chance. Currently a minor league level organization.
It appears the fans are sending a loud message...you let Mo-ran stay in charge a few years too long...and DeTwit needs to move on..new leadership.. .and bring back Cardinals baseball for the fans instead of a few front office (donkey) kissers.
Can you walk us through why dewitt should sell please..

He is selling a popular product..

He has virtually no competition for the sports entertainment dollar..

He has a very soft local sports media

And he has successful associated businesses such as the village.

It’s a virtual cash cow……he didn’t become a billionaire by selling cash cows…
Not sure it’s currently a popular product. People don’t want to spend 400 dollars to see minor league baseball
Who is paying $400 to see a minor league game?! 8O

Do you seriously think that a new owner who pays billions for the team (and finances much of it) is going to
spend additional player payroll money for your pleasure?

Yes……

Who buys something and doesn’t invest in it to make it better(more profitable)? It’s like buying the millennium hotel now and being like “yeah it’s good”

You would be an absolutely awful business man….

I worry we underestimate what BPV generates for the old man. Him and his little boy have been waaaaaaayyyyy too arrogant and unfazed by the attendance issues these last few years. Almost as if they are rolling in it with or without fans in the stands.

That, of course, is for the owner and any prospective buyers to decide and not octogenarians who have become cynical of the process.

Getting a new owner might be the the answer but would they keep them in St.Louis.St.louis has a problem nationally that downtown is not safe. The crime problem is overblown but the perception is there nationally.
