We all know that Melville guaranteed that Carlson would have a much better career than Bader or O’Neill. Oops.
Bader is slashing .258/.338/.439/.777 with 12 home runs and 10 stolen bases in 96 games. His splits were pretty even -- .779 OPS against righties, .774 OPS against lefties - and splits were always his problem.
He’s +13 DRS so the stellar defense is still there.
Not bad for a guy I admittedly said was a platoon player.
