It's fine if they don't move them. I don't really get it but whatever. What I can't get behind is shutting down talk on them several hours before the deadline.
Is fielding offers on multiple players too much for Mo to handle?

Never refuse to listen on anyone. That’s just bad management. What if someone offered a AAA power arm for Burley and Noot?

....That this team will suck for years...
Re: 101.1 Katie Woo just reported
I’m not sure why people keep mentioning Nolan Arenado being traded. It’s not going to happen. He is not waiving his no trade he is staying in STL. Not sure why people keep thinking that’s even a possibility

This band of clueless Yahoo’s over in BPV has almost lost me……I’m gonna miss you true baseball fans….but I’m not really sure what the point of attempting to keep up on this clownshow is anymore…..it hasn’t been entertaining in years….Rojo Johnson wrote: ↑31 Jul 2025 14:14 pmIf you don’t care how good your core and, hence, your team, is, then anyone can be in your core. Noot is a hoot as a core player. He truly is.
Working up the FO Honks and Excuse makers is even losing its appeal…

Can hear it now.
KC GM “ I like to make an offer on Nootbaar”
Mo “I’m sorry I am nor entertaining offers on him”
KC “ but I am offering Bobby Witt Jr. for him!”
Mo. “ did you not hear me! I am not listening on offers” Mo says while covering his ears

Nootbar a "core" piece? You lost me right there.Youboughtit wrote: ↑31 Jul 2025 13:17 pm The Cardinals will not entertain any offers for Nootbar Donovan and Burleson and views them as “core pieces” and starters next season. Someone please show me a lineup next year with all 3 of them starting and who is on the bench. Please explain this logic

Did someone say Noot was comparable to Kwan? Seriously?
1. Kwan actually plays a full season.
2. Kwan is a 10x better defender.
3. Kwan puts the ball in play on a much more consistent basis.
There is very little comparison other than they both play OF, they are both Asian, and they both bat from the left side of the plate.

Kwan can actually stay on the field and is a gold glover. No way he and Noot are considered on par in the market.Youboughtit wrote: ↑31 Jul 2025 13:22 pmWell they discussed it and his numbers are on par with Kwan who apparently is getting huge offers.MIDMOBIRDTWO wrote: ↑31 Jul 2025 13:21 pm I guess they might want Donovan and Burleson in the lineup next season, but Nootbaar likely has little to no market from others. Also might get more in the off season for the first two.Spoiler

And there's the problem. Nootbaar is not a core piece. Even at his height, he was always going to be a supporting piece. Like a Reggie Sanders. Reggie was always a nice player to have. But you certainly never built a team around him.Lightning Rod wrote: ↑31 Jul 2025 14:26 pmNootbar a "core" piece? I think Burly and Donnie are also "nice" players. But you absolutely do not build around them. They're the guys who you bring in to protect THE guys.

Nailed on all points. I'll add that when in a rebuild that those supporting pieces can be dealt because there is no core in place to support.

Bingo. When your "core" pieces are guys who are more meant to be supporting pieces...you've lost the plot.Basil Shabazz wrote: ↑31 Jul 2025 14:40 pm^thisStrummer Jones wrote: ↑31 Jul 2025 14:38 pmAnd there's the problem. I have had Kwan in fantasy and he’s always hurt. I am saying their advanced stats including WAR are very comparableSwuhgen wrote: ↑31 Jul 2025 14:36 pmKwan can actually stay on the field and is a gold glover.
