Expecting to be disappointed

Post by opti mist »

Not because I see things failing or because I am not a fan of Mo, but simply because I am disappointed in the trade deadline deals every year. So, why should this year be any different?

And I am an optimist!

Since you are an optimist , here is a reason for you why this year should be different . The No. 2 guy will be having input in the trades and we all know he has this club ready to Bloom . Be an optimist !

At least someone has faith in Bloom. I do not.

I just posted a thread on an article from Baseball America about how few top prospects are actually traded at the deadline every year. Check it out. You're not wrong. There's really not a lot of blockbusters at the deadline anymore.

Pleasantly surprised.

And pleased.

Having never heard of the three players before today, it’s at least interesting. The little I’ve read so far on Baez and Dohm have things that I like with both players. Haven’t read much on Elissalt, but he appears to have a pretty good arm.

At the very least I’d say all three have good potential, even if they may be a long way away or just bust.

Well, that went as expected. I, for one, am glad Mo stopped at the three relievers and left the rest to Chaim and the offseason.

This is going to be a couple of rough seasons while we work through the new CBA and reset the major league roster.

Pitching is key for the Cardinals.
