I'm pretty sure it's a stark difference.
In the middle of a heat wave? Duh.
Heat waves don’t keep people away when the team is worth watching.
Really? Is that a fact? You don’t think a heat index of 108 has anything to do with it?
Was it ‘66 All-star game……cleats melting on ASTROTURF……but its never been hot in STL before…. ::crazya:: ::crazya::
Of course it's been hot. And it hurt attendance. It's unhealthy, especially for older people, to sit in that heat.
Yeah, I’m sure that the joint would be packed if not for the 15,000 senior citizens who decided to stay home.

Bill, Bill, Mo… at least you saved some money, eh?
How many people actually showed up? Attendance was listed at 20,500 the last two nights. Obviously those were tickets sold and not butts in the seats.

There was no turf in 1966 at the then new Busch Stadium yet. But I remember when Casey Stengel was asked what he thought about the new stadium, and he remarked, "It sure does hold the heat."

These numbers trending down has nothing to do with the weather. Look for that 2025 number to decline even more by the end of the season.

Interesting numbers...Mo-ran's legacy...people can make excuses if they want...but this team is as dull as the POBO...no stars, no energy...glad the fans are finally giving the middle finger to DeTwit!

Well, this is what many here have been clamoring for, as if it will induce the DeWitts to go on a spending spree. We’ll see. I suspect it will simply mean more mediocrity.
