Look for AL East and NL Central to be most active at trade deadline
From what I have read , it seems teams in those two divisions could be the biggest players.
The question for the Cardinals would be are they willing to trade within the division (normally a no no ) . This year the Cubs, Brewers, and Reds all seem to be shopping for something to separate them for a stretch run to the Central title. Would Mo deal within our own division ? What say you ?

Depends on the deal. If the Cubs offered us some high-end prospects who are very likely to pay off in the future for some expiring asset like Helsley, sure I'd take it. This year's Cardinal team isn't gonna win the WS, so we might as well look to the future and frankly I don't hate the Cubs enough to sacrifice the Cardinals future to hurt them.

It also sounds like it's going to be a real flurry late on Thursday. Until then, not much action.

Hesley, Maton and Matz have to go or Mo has really screwed the pooch.

For sure 2 of the 3 ! Read that asking prices for the relievers is 'sky high' ... several teams want them (demand high) and limited number of of good ones (supply low ) .. that combination drives the price high for the SELLERS !rockondlouie wrote: ↑29 Jul 2025 13:25 pmThat would be a disaster.Red Bird Classic wrote: ↑29 Jul 2025 13:09 pmOr nothing much will happen at all?rockondlouie wrote: ↑29 Jul 2025 13:02 pm+1imadangman wrote: ↑29 Jul 2025 12:54 pm It also sounds like it's going to be a real flurry late on Thursday. None of them will garner a Top 100 MLB prospect but hopefully Helsley can bring back one of a teams Top 10 prospect.ramfandan wrote: ↑29 Jul 2025 13:50 pmFor sure 2 of the 3 ! Agreed. Moves can be made and should be made. But what can and should be done isn't always done with this FO.rockondlouie wrote: ↑29 Jul 2025 13:25 pmThat would be a disaster.Red Bird Classic wrote: ↑29 Jul 2025 13:09 pmOr nothing much will happen at all?rockondlouie wrote: ↑29 Jul 2025 13:02 pm+1imadangman wrote: ↑29 Jul 2025 12:54 pm It also sounds like it's going to be a real flurry late on Thursday.
