Reason #764 why Oli sucks
Why in the F wouldn’t you send Matz out for the 9th?!?
I know it doesn’t matter in the outcome of the game, but dang!
You are winning 7-0, he’s the closest thing to a long man you have, he only pitched one inning.
The over managing (bleep) drives me insane. First game of the series. Why burn an arm when it’s not needed?

Re: Reason #764 why Oli sucks
It made zero sense to lift Matz in a 7-0 game.

Only 764???
Re: Reason #764 why Oli sucks
I don’t know. Seems perfect opportunity to give a young guy an inning of work.

Questions 67 and 68- Chicago.
“ are you optimistic; bout the way that things are going?”
“ no. I never ever think of it all.”
Re: Reason #764 why Oli sucks
The benefit of leaving Matz in: "Yay! We got a shutout. Wow who cares??!!!"
The benefits of removing Matz:
1. Matz leaves on a high note in what may be his last appearance. I don't care about 'high notes,' but opposing GMs seem to like them.
2. Got one of our young guys one inning of work. You know, a young guy the team may have to lean on after the TDL.
I have no idea why anyone would care about preserving a shutout...

Zero to do with preserving a shutout. I couldn't care less about a shutout. It's about over-managing or making a move to appear that you are managing, while being asleep at the wheel when it is time to manage. Oli is not qualified to be an MLB manager, and he knows it. That is why he makes senseless moves and is smug when critiqued. You can have him as the manager if you think he is your guy, but the most knowledgeable baseball fans know he is over his skis.ecleme22 wrote: ↑29 Jul 2025 08:42 am The benefit of leaving Matz in: "Yay! Wow. Absolutely nothing to (buzz) about, but you be you. Svanson could be the closer of the future dillweed.Basil Shabazz wrote: ↑28 Jul 2025 21:09 pm Why in the F wouldn’t you send Matz out for the 9th?!?

They could be trading Romero, Maton and Helsley, as well as Matz.
Dim bulb can't see past its rage
If Matz came up lane, you'd (buzz) he wasted a trade asset.

There may be 763 reasons he’s a bad manager.Basil Shabazz wrote: ↑29 Jul 2025 08:52 amZero to do with preserving a shutout. I couldn't care less about a shutout. But your 764th isn’t a good one.
