Huge hat tip to Pallante!
I think he catches more grief than he deserves.
I remember when he came up I thought “who”???
Never a huge prospect but he has been mostly solid.
Not his fault that our rotation scuffled with Mikolas and Fedde falling apart.
His ERA as a starter prior to this season was well below 4.00.
Which for a #5 is very good!
At worst he fills the bill out of the BP.
Maybe not as a 8th/9th inning guy but solid.
Agreed.
Last one calendar year...
181 IP
4.28 ERA
10-11 record
He's been eating innings.
IMHO: Pallante and McGreevy are the innings eater types.
Gray is the strikeout guy who is a aging ace.
We have Liberatore as the lefty.
Need someone else for 2026. Ideally, it would be Mathews but he's had a tough year.

Pallante will find a home somewhere.
Still 3 more years of control. Lots of rotation questions heading forward but if Pallante winds up as the #5 I can live with that!

Almost 5 ERA. 110 innings over 20 starts...that's not eating innings . 1.373 WHIP
Cards only have #5 or worse, starters in him and McFedde
