Do the Cardinals have something special in Burleson?

Post by Shady »

Good to see the power picking up. What I really like is his improved pitch recognition and plate discipline. Burleson is a professional hitter. And he's only 26.

Well if you have low definition of special and consider special a 20 home run 70-80 RBI platoon guy then yes I guess

20/80 would in fact be a pretty hood platoon guy. Who knows, maybe he turns in to a Schwarber type player.

Do we need 10 threads for every homerun?

Sorry my idea of a special player is more than a 20 hr 80 rbi platoon guy lol. A good player yes but special? Far from it he doesn’t have anywhere close to the power or walk percentage of schwarber

It seems like Burleson is your favorite player. Do you by chance have a son named Alec who is 26 and plays for the Cardinals?

No. They have a low-end starter or a decent bench player. We have something special in you though.

I’ve already given my detailed evaluation of Burleson in the other numerous threads.
So I’ll just say....here’s some attention!

My point was, how many platoon players (as you called him) hits for 20 / 80? Thats a pretty good season for an every day player.

Well he’s a platoon player that plays everyday because he still plays against lefties

I’ve never really thought of him as being hood but I’m open minded

He will never be more than a 2.0 WAR player

His defense and base-running are poor - sadly he is a bad bodied player with only one tool

He would need to be 300/400/500 to be special

He ain’t that
